My Z reads two different air temps....

I used the search button. Nada.

Anyway the display on the left of the steering wheel reads 68F degrees. But the bottom left of the nav reads 64F degrees. They are obviously getting their readings from different places. What's going on?

Didn't know the Nav had a gauge.

Does the Nav ever read higher? And/or maybe since you're in the grace period, the Nav updates info over the air?

The cluster shoul read from a temperature sensor behind the bumper

mallocfailure 02-21-2014 04:28 PM

Isn't the bottom left of the Nav temp the temp you have your heating/ac set to?

wow, if that's the case this thread is full of fail... :ugh:

Mitco39 02-21-2014 05:00 PM

Yeah you can turn up the temperature outside by just turning your temperature knob in the car. Unfortunately mine breaks every time around October and for some reason starts working again around april. lol

Please get yourself to rehab ASAP.

The nav system reading is the temp setting for the interior.

Please do not spend too much time reading this as I do not want you to be late to your Mensa meeting.

A/C is off but I'll check again.

It was actually mallocfailure who was the first one to state what the nav temp is displaying :icon17:

It does tick me off that the clock in the cluster and the clock on the nav aren't synced automatically.

Maybe one is an outside clock and one is an inside clock??

They didn't use the same crystal therefore they have slightly different oscillation frequencies which overtime becomes very evident by difference in times. Yes, its annoying as hell.

I liked the joke, it means we were time traveling in our cars! yeah, I'm a nerd like that...

TerribleONE 02-26-2014 02:14 PM

I don't always post on the370Z, but when I do, I make sure that my post doesn't make any sense.

Btw guys, what do you think the best intake is? I'm trying to get my 0-60 under 4 seconds

It bugged the **** out of me, until I realized you can turn the Navi clock off. :D Shortly after I figured that out I ended up tearing the factory gauge clock out with a set of side cutters tho. So now my navi is the only clock :)
