Seems like most people didn't like the gas cap hanging down and touching the fender, so the hook would work in that case. |

No problem mate, I didn't take any offense. Most of the time I'm filling up when going to work in my business clothes, and it's a bad time to get dirty hands from my fuel cap. Even though I wash in there, phoenix dust gets back in pretty quickly.

![]() guess i could use this opportunity to do a follow up: well have had it now for a few months and havent had a cel yet... i have noticed that if i use a high pressure touchless car wash that i will get a little build up in the opening...nothing drastic, and nothing a paper towel wont take care of... all in all im glad i made the switch and really dont see why all vehicles dont have this same type of setup... |

The pins on the flap popped out of the pivot point on the Cap. It just dropped down to where the metal necks down for the filler. I didn't even notice it at first, but the nozzle wouldn't go in all the way. Unscrewed the Stant Cap and fished it out. Looks intact so I may try to fix it...

I also purchased this cap and have had no issues. I like not having to touch the cap and also keeps it from rubbing against the fender which happened even when hanging it on the door.

does anyone have a photo of this door flap? i dont know if i have ever seen it on my Z...i'm assuming its just a metal flap that swings open when you insert the fuel pump, but i have never noticed it on my Z.

The Z doesnt have a metal flap? That is strange cause most of my Hondas have a little metal flap from what I recall.
