For those of you that like stuff to magically show up at your door (like me) Amazon has it.

Just ordered two (+1 for the wife's xterra).

Nice find. Thanks!

i like it, but dont like it at the same time.
i like the though of the hands free gas cap, but i wash the gas fill area when i wash my car and i dont like the thought of water spraying into the tank.
besides the cap doesn't hang on the side of the car like some ppl say, there's a little hook on the door to hang the cap.

Well it's been like 3 days so far.

No CEL light, and no driving issues. Just filled up with 93 premium octane today and I had no problems. Drove about 40 miles to pick up my short shift kit from Fedex.

I think it's safe to say that gas cap won't cause any issues and is worth it for the convenience alone.

^^ :iagree:

i havent had any CEL issues either, still havent filled up yet, and probably wont till next week, but sofar so good

I hope you guy's have better luck with this than I did. I installed one on my Evo a while back and got al CEL a few days later. I gave it more time, and still another CEL. And also if it rained and I stopped to get gas there was always a little "pool" of water and as soon as I put the nozzle in: down the water went into the tank:mad:.

So a few weeks ago I just tried it in my CR-V thinking it was maybe just the car. But nope....same exact issues. And it only took a day to trigger a CEL. If you look at the spring on the trap door, it seems fairly easy to open with your finger in addition to the opening being fairly deep where water always "pools" after rain, wash. I don't trust it and will never use it on my Z!!!!!!!!!

(P.S. Same model number for both cars 41004)

^^^strange...i have had no issues and its rained twice and ive also washed it once since installed...

How much does it cost? Thanks

It's been raining on and off all week here in Georgia.

My car is not garaged or kept indoors; I don't have a car cover either. Zero issues, easy fill up at the pump.

I'm pretty sure there is a thread where someone sprayed the gas tank cover on purpose while doing a car wash just to prove that water doesn't build up inside and it funnels out. (AK370Z?)

I wasn't referring to how the cars are kept, more the fact that when you drive in the rain and pull in to gas up there was always a small amount of water built up against the flap and would go into the tank when the gas nozzle opens it. Not to mention the constant CEL's with two different vehicles.
Obviously the water from rain or wash would evaporate depending on when you fill up. Just my experience. Hopefully you guys won't have any issues like I have.
