In 9.5 years a Black Cherry 2013 Base + sport + 7A will probably be for sale. I estimate it should have between 20 and 22 thousand miles. Most likely stock perhaps rims. Assuming the site is still around feel free to drop me a pm around June.

Will never sell :) Love my Z

pokeyl 02-09-2014 08:15 PM

Don't have to sell. Someone without insurance will hit me and destroy my car long before I want to trade or sell.

Yeah, if that deer hits a car and kills an entire family, that's NOT the state's deer, but if you shoot that deer illegally, that deer is a Precious member of the state's family, and they'll charge dearly for it!

JARblue 02-10-2014 06:29 PM

Excluding the hypothetical high offers, severe emergency fund needs, and other various possibilities that would make me rethink my current position, I have no plans to ever sell the Z.

I would like to either get another DD and turn the Z into a garage queen (more realistic) or continue to DD the Z and get something faster and more exotic (way less realistic at my current pay grade).

I want to also say never but honestly if the FT-1 is as nice as it was in concept when(& if) it hits production I could see me getting a "new supra" but I would probably still try and keep the Z it would be to much of a loss to lose it.

The fact I bought it new and being the only owner/driver makes me want to keep it too!

:icon17: OK, thanks George!

funny you say that because Toyota is one of the few companies that will actually make their concepts into production, unlike some of the other companies

Verbal21 02-10-2014 08:35 PM

Yup, I'd ditch my Z for the next Supra in a heartbeat. It's the Toyota in my blood:icon17:

Nismo89 02-10-2014 09:00 PM

first sports car, im going to keep it for as long as I possibly can.

far too often have I heard the more experience folk remembering the times in their first sports car and how they wish they still had it, I want to be one of the few that still has theirs, years down the road.

:tiphat:

:iagree: I could see me buying the FT-1 and keeping the Z, I too always wanted to be able to say I am the one and only owner/driver of the sports car! Part of the reason I sold the Z32 when I bought my Z34

it's just a prius with sporty body, no?

:icon17:

if the FT-1 turns out to be an affordable (<$50 sports car) i might look into it. but it wouldnt be to replace my Z.

prius! have you ever ridden in a supra? I would have got one over my Z32 before but couldn't find one as good as the Z32 (mileage and condition wise) I was looking at!

might not replace your Z but I bet it could replace your G! :stirthepot:

LMB- im not knocking the supra. im knocking toyota. :D i dont like toyota's in general. they dont feel like cars at all. more like either a cheap pencil sharpener or a hotel lobby sofa.

yah, that could be the plan indeed. was hoping i could get something with 4 seats though in a 2door coupe form...

:icon17: :iagree: I am not a toyota fan in anyway! Only ever like the Supra or 4runners the rest of their line up does not appeal to me.

why 4 seats? your kids are getting bigger and those back seats are totally useless IMO. Or do you look at it from the insurance prospective? I know a 2 door 4 seater is cheaper to insure then a 2 door 2 seater kind stupid because technically you could kill more people in a 4 seater. but thats what insurance told me :ugh2: but they are all liars just like all the lieyers out there, I mean lawyers :roflpuke2:

well i do need to carry them around on the weekends since they go to school... :ugh: and i like to go out motoring early in the morning before traffic gets bad. :D

but that's the only reason for the 4 seats. i like to drive solo. it's my personal space, away from family, away from work, away from everything. just me. my wife's never driven my Z (can't drive MT), she sat shotgun only once. my older kid has tagged along a few times.

my wife also cannot drive MT, but I like it that way shhhhh! :rofl2:

:iagree: driving solo can be nice stress relief

I can't wait till my little guy gets to that point

kenchan 02-11-2014 11:16 AM

you'll be there in no time, LMB. time just accelerates exponentially after having kids. :D

Hmm..will I ever sell my Z? Well it depends. The Z was my first car at 19, and in a way holds sentimental value to me. However, that would not stop me from trading or selling it on impulse if I wanted a better looknig car. Quite honestly, there is not better looking car than the 370Z right now in the same price range. Right now I am waiting to see how the next gen z will look. That might be my first test as to whether I sell my Z or not. Other than that, I do indeed plan on keeping my Z for as long as I possibly can. Most likely it seems that in the long future a paint job would be very well needed. The only other car in my eyes right now is a 911(991) S but that will not happen until I finish school :/ haha.

essixx 02-12-2014 02:40 AM

Did not think I would sell my Z for some time. But a beautiful low mileage Jetstream Blue Metallic Tintcoat 2010 Corvette caught my eye. Z was gone in less than a week!
Kind of funny, Wife and Daughter Liked the Z better. Wife drove the Vette and her opinion changed. Vette is a beast and rides better with more room.
A 370Z is more rare in my area and attracted more attention.
Sometimes I do miss the Z, but enjoy the Vette more.

roplusbee 02-14-2014 08:17 PM

I plan on keeping mine until it no longer functions or can be repaired. If it were stock, then I may consider lert8ng it go. All of the cars that I have modified, I have kept until they were unservicable.

It was stated before that having another vehicle helps. I have another vehicle right now, but that will change. I would kept my Z much closer to stock if I did not intend on keeping it forever. Oh yeah........2 seats mean one peeson can ride, period!

I guess you Vette guys can't read, what is the title of the thread?

In all seriousness, Vettes are great cars and I can see myself in a C7 one day. I owned a 72 Vette and a 78 280Z, BM (before marriage). I always told myself, I'd own one of each again one day. Now that my kids are done with college, got the Z checked off :tiphat:
