Why in the world would you want to use the stick to change gear when you have paddles? The whole point is to not take your hand off the wheel. Using the stick is the worst of both worlds- you're stuck with an auto and you have to take your hand off the wheel to shift.

i suppose if it's one of them dumbarase paddles that turn with the steering wheel this 'slap stick' could work gooder doing a left turn or something... :ugh:

Either that, or the common birth defect where one has ovaries in place of testes...:rofl2:

or some kind of void in the head...

I hate to say it, but if you want the real rumble of an 8 cylinder, you need to stick with an 8 cylinder. If you like doing mods, you can upgrade the Z's sound pretty easy and get near anything you want, but it's still not going to have quite the soul that a real 8 has.

For me, I like the sound of a 6, even though my pants get a little tight any time I hear a 5.0 next to me. Or a video of the F-Type (never heard one go in person). (Then again, sound isn't really the biggest thing to me; it's the look and the handling and how I feel in and outside the car that makes it for me.) The 5.0 sounds glorious, but that's really all it has going for me.

The camaro and the 5.0 have those terrible shifters, like they're hideous. The 2015 Mustang still doesn't have a slap stick! Only paddles! I'm happy I have both, slap shift and paddles is cool. I'm not about daaaat stick shift life.

A slap stick? what is this, 2001???

Pistons132 02-05-2014 01:03 PM

Lmao, that's what Chrysler calls it. Yeah yeah, automatics are for sissy's, but it's alright. I like driving and looking at stuff around me and sometimes eating fries on a drive, I can't do that with a stick. I also would hate it in traffic, I use the paddles going straight lol. When I turn hard or something I'll use the slap stick, because the paddles turn with the steering wheel and it gets awkward. I'll have it on drive the whole time if I'm feeling super lazy. Nothing is wrong with me physically, I bought a fat comfortable car I wouldn't want to get a manual and worry about what gear I'm in or downshifting. We don't have that fancy rev match button!

I find it hard to believe your paddles move with the wheel seeing as mine are attached to the column. They don't move....

Picture isn't the best but you can see the paddles and wheel are completely separate.

I'm pretty sure they do, cause the paddles are attached to the back of the steering wheel. On the challenger music is controlled behind the steering wheel also, right next to the paddles. So if I'm turning it feels uncomfortable to use them.

Get a 370Z Auto & you will win every race versus any R/T. Here is a video & yes that's an R/T.

12.9 s @ 107 mph vs. R/T's 14.8 s @ 94 mph

I test drove a v6 Challenger and Charger, and recently just 2 weeks ago i tried the New R/T Trim of both. I was pretty excited to try out the Hemi engine in Challenger :happydance: and the moment that i started flooring the car, i was like :wtf2::gtfo2:

I would never buy challenger for performance/power, unless you're going after muscle cars then it is a good choice, comparing to stangs/camero

Forget the normal R/T hemi. You need to drive one with the 6.4 motor. With the upgrades of the 2015 (especially the interior), out of the muscle cars I would get the 2015 R/T Scat pack.
