Cool little engine. It's basically the size of a rotary with none of the drawbacks. I wouldn't mind seeing this thing in the ID-X.

I could see a variant of this going into that Blade car if it goes into production.

Neat!

This is impressive technology for sure.

400hp out of a 1.5L 3 cylinder... Good thing it's being developed for a 24h race, becaue that's about how long it's going to last.:rofl2:

I say take two of these, tie them together and voila 3.0L twin turbo motor for the next Z. Of course I'm just dreaming here.

Seriously, at 88 lbs if it has any problems, Nissan can possibly make it a quick, disposable swap in & swap out motor for the race.

I think that's the coolest part. The leap wouldn't be that difficult to create a compact, lightweight 6-cyl monster producing 800hp.

Make one engine power the front and one power the rear, if only FWD or RWD is needed then the other engine can go into standby mode to reduce fuel and get better MPG!

Lol, it wouldn't be close after emissions and whatnot, but I do like that thought

How about one for each wheel!!! 6.0 liter, 1,600hp sounds perfect and AWD!

seriously though, if they mass produce this puppy, how badass would it be powering a lightweight track car like an Ariel Atom.
