At this point we've all told the OP it's a waste of time and money for no power. If he wants to go find out himself, go for it.

Then why did you ask? I second everyone else that it is a waste of your money...

Fast intentions will make you a catback with HFCs in it so you can run their long tubes and still be legal. That's a far better hp/$ ratio for the same install cost.

Already have a borla catback, I'm under aged, my mom restricts me on things I can do , she said I can do headers and high flow cats as long as my setup is legal, and she won't let me do weight restriction things.

They're illegal. I guarantee it

What ? Shorty headers and hi flow cats? If that's what you're talking about it's not. Already checked with local pd and the states regulations.

Wow. Then go spend your money on headers that will cost a fortune to install and will make zero power. We've explained it to you over and over. I guess the only thing that will convince you is being out a lot of money and a dyno sheet showing no gains.

Nope. He's right. It's illegal to take off working cats. It's a federal law. Is it ever enforced? No. But it's not legal.

Now it's starting to all make sense...

Then why not wait until you're older and can make your own decisions rather then buying POS headers that are worse than stock because it's all you're allowed to do?

Okay I'll explain. I graduate in late May, I wanted to have all my performance parts ready to go before then, because I'm going to drive 8 hours to texas and have my car tuned at JOTECH, so then I will be done with my performance, another issue is I believe the mechanic I want to install my headers, I'm not sure if he will because he won't do anything illegal, (such as removing cats). And if he doesn't, odds are I'm going to pay 560 for headers and 560 for cats or something, (prices aren't the same), and around 360-480$ for install. (60$ per hour),,,(6-8hours)

I also really like louder noises from the exhaust, which I know you said HFCs will have plenty of exhaust note, but will LTH have the same effect?

I am new or the 370z and was dead set on buying headers. After listening to so,e feedback I think It doesn't make sense plus the oem heat shield has to be removed with some do these headers thus creating more heat issues. I just thought it didn't seem worth it.

Is your mom aware that spending your money on the Stillen headers are a waste of money? If shorty headers are what you are looking for wait a little more time and buy the Z1's. You had mentioned that it worries you having to add 350Z HFC's however many have done it. Check out the massively long thread on it.

I think it's worse to spend money on crappy headers that may be less in price but provide very little performance gains then spending your money on headers that may be a little more expensive but at least will make a difference on your car and would totally be worth the installation costs as well. I would try telling that to your mom.

Take your time and do it right. Don't throw your money away which would be buying the crappy headers.
