For a second I thought you totaled the new one.

mab864 01-19-2014 08:32 AM

Me too. Was the new buyer an Austinite as well? Maybe there's some zero sum rule for Zs in Austin :icon17:

always a shame to hear a new owner, taking your car and this happen..... makes your heart drop , knowing how you treated the car.

Totally agree with everyone above.
If the new owner was a forum member and he/she shared the news of a totaled '09, we would most likely be saying how sorry we were and hope no one was hurt. I'd most like be sad too if I heard my well cared of baby was totaled by the new owner but also say to myself, that was stupid but not my problem.

OP - enjoy the heck out of your new baby and please share with us what you do with your new Z.

Before my Z I have never really owned a car that I could honestly say that I miss, except perhaps for the 79 Ford LTD wagon that I owned, and that one went to a high school mechanics class to play with (had a 351 Windsor and a 9" rear end, probably got donated to a mustang somewhere).

It does suck to hear that another Z has left the scene. One can only hope that the accident that ended it was just a freak thing, and not the new owner doing something incredibly stupid.

At any rate, enjoy the new ride man. **** happens, but at least it didn't happen to you.

Yeah... Just amazes me that it was wrecked that quick...

Need to make some time to install my Ti Nismo shift knob in the new ride. Other than that I've gotten window tint done, installed a GTR start button, and added the alcantara knee bolsters on the console. The alcantara goes so well with touring interior and is more upscale than the vinyl.

Cheers. I'll post picks when I get the Nismo shift knob on...

No, it's like finding out that the lovely girl friend you unceremoniously dumped, was raped and murdered.
