I've gotten to the point where i touch a key, any key to the car first to discharge the electricity. I don't think it's our car. It's just the cold dry air. I'm getting zapped at work all the time. I work in an old building with those godawful indoor/outdoor carpets and I get painful zaps all day long.

:shakes head:You Z owners are F&%#ed up.

Pfft. It's just those two.

I don't have any problems. With the car anyways.

Why don't you just touch another part of the car with the back of your hand or literally ANY other part of your body before you go for the handle.

He would get the same shock. The trick is touching metal (or painted body work) before you touch foot to ground, from that point you are golden and donesnt matter where you touch or how, you will not get zapped.

stop dragging your feet, take real steps

You DO NOT need to buy anything, here is what works 100%.

Open your door then before touching even 1 foot to the ground make sure your hand is touching metal, I usually just grab the window pillar, then put your foot down.

Congratulations, you are now discharged and didn't feel a thing.

I have that phobia too hence why I made a thread. I really do appreciate the suggestions.

So far:
1. Lube myself up
2. Touch my wiener to the car
3. Touch my hand to the metal prior to stepping on the ground.

#2 it is!

If you're like most dudes, you'll end up doing the following:

1. Lube yourself up
2. Touch your wiener
3. Repeat step 2 with promptness and vigor.

You'll not make it into your car with any series of steps involving your ding-ding and Kentucky jelly or other friction reducing product (including Royal Purple on your Royal Scepter). It is just too easy to get distracted, even if you are fleeing zombies. You'll start of "Oh no! Zombies!!!!", but end up at step 2 thinking "Heyyyy! My pee-pee! Yeaaa pee-pee!"
