.

You failed to read I grew up in a police and military structured family. I know the rules, I learned to follow them and I know that if I dont I will suffer the consequences. Maybe others should learn the same.

^ I'm going to have to agree here. 51 gives an officer just cause to pull you over and see what's going on. I understand the possible not completely accurate radar gun or such. But the fact is they can pull you over, and use that opportunity to do their jobs and keep people safe. As far as getting the ticket for being 1 over that is a tough break but it could happen, most officers would be lenient and not give you that ticket if they were to even pull you over for it in the first place. The fact still remains however that they can.

Word. The fact is OP got a warning. So why cry about it? 100% guarantee there is MUCH more to it.

Hang on a minute....what is the speed limit? Oh yes thats right 50mph. 51 is STILL over like it or not giving them EVERY right to check that vehicle out. You arent a governor, head of police so you have no right to say what an officer can and cannot do. Did you even think that this could be a late night stop looking for a DUI? Oh yeah thats right tables turned now.

as much as I'd hate to agree with Blue... I'm gunna have to agree with this statement just this once..

ps. I still hate you blue.

Not enough info given from OP to make assumptions in this case.

With the information provided in this post, simply doing 51 in a 50 brings a strong degree of suspicion to any officer who would pull over a vehicle for no other reason than 1mph over the speed limit. Actually, he could not prove speeding at 1mph over. Regardless of method of speed determination, the margin of error is 3 to 5mph, thus the case is thrown out. For this reason, people don't get pulled over for 1mph unless there are OTHER circumstances.

Now, if 1mph over was the ONLY reason, oh, we have an issue and a decent, assertive, attorney would climb in and redifine any officer's gender in a court of law for such a petty offense that is not supported by anything but the officers "word".

OK...bed time... lol night:driving:

Wow you seriously fail to realize the point. WHY is the officer immediately at suspicion when he is at discretion to pull him? The driver has MANY more suspicions for why he is stopped than the officer who stopped him. STOP HATING.

You just said your 1mph over unless their are other circumstances. You are proving my argument right. Now stop while you are way behind at this point. You have 2 other people against you.....you arent making yourself look too bright.
