Anyone has escort MAX radar detector ?

I have the volume up loud and can usually hear it over the stereo. The downside to this is that it has a loud beep when the car starts and everything else is quiet. The laser detector makes the thing go obnoxious which is great!

I think the 9500ix has similar features, but I like the screen of the max and I plan on having the detector for a long time so the small difference in price wasn't a factor.

I'll say it has been VERY handy to have a detector....
