At what point is a spoiler not worth it?

My Z has a spoiler on it, stock. I see the Nismo has a bigger spoiler. So does that mean it affects the vehcile in a different way? Is it

in this particular case it's prolly directly comparable to the universally held opinion that people have regarding the dudes that drive those hugh, high,4-bys:
size in direct disproportion to penis length...i'm jis sayin'...

that being said: i, myself, am interested in a bigger spoiler...go figure...

Well the spoiler you posted is all looks no function, but bigger spoilers do mean better performance, case and point with the nismo spoilers(can't forget the chin spoiler as well as the hatch spoiler) offer 150lbs of down force at 70mph.

As far as it being desirable, that is personal taste, I love spoilers on coupes but I hate them on sedans, and there are people who would disagree with me, I know a few people who think my nismo spoiler is stupidly big, I don't think its big enough(I like the amuse spoiler more then the nismo but I love my nisno spoiler a lot)
