i got my half year ago 31K OTD price for a 40th anniversary Z with 31.5K miles in it.
i feel like i got rip off ......listed price was 27999 but the dealer fee is 899 plug tax and everything so 31K OTD .....

I ended up passing on both cars.

I've always really wanted an '09 in Chicane Yellow because I loved my ultra yellow 350z. After looking at the others, I just decided that having a yellow one just puts the car on an entirely different level for me. I had trouble finding them, so I had just given up on a yellow one, but I'm going to be more patient. I also have three different Nissan dealers looking to see if they can find one.

I have to thank poster DR_ for saying something in the thread below that finally told me what I needed to hear.

Buying a sports car is an emotional purchase rather than just a rational one like buying a Sentra or something good on gas. So it only makes sense to buy the car that really speaks to you, and if that is a 40th, stick to them.
The yellow speaks to me.

I'm glad I don't live like that! You'd drive yourself insane. Its a ******* car, just drive it, they are all the same. To each their own I guess. But I understand everyone's not like me with a new car every 6 months to a year. No real color choice, brand loyal, emotional attachment etc. drive it, race it, mod, move on.

Good luck on your search. Your patience will pay off. I really wanted a low mileage Pearl White one but settled on my black one because it had all the right options, was low mileage and in impeccable shape. The Black has grown on me but sometimes I wish I had the white. Oh well.

In my opinion you overpaid a bit but it's not horrible. I bought my 2010 in March of 2013, fully loaded with 16k miles for 28k OTD. Deal is done now so no need to get worked up about it. Just enjoy the car.

I know this thread has been dead for six days now, but I just wanted to say that I got a 370z today. After seeing a Monterey Blue 370z in person, I decided that I like it quite a bit...almost as much as the yellow...but enough to be really happy with it. Did a real thorough inspection and check of the 2010 370z Touring/Sport that I listed in the first post and decided to get it. The only issue with it was from where the previous owner seems to have gone over a speed bump that was a little too tall and it left a small ugly scrape at the bottom of the passenger side front bumper and broke the splash guard behind the front passenger tire a little bit on the bottom. All stuff that can be fixed but isn't really noticeable unless you get down really low to check. I really enjoyed the ride home and can't wait to see how it does with new tires in the next day or two. I'll miss the Titan Pro-4x I had, but I'm glad to be back in a Z.

And it is already dark, so I'll have to add pictures to the thread later when it is daylight and we get dry weather. Tomorrow's weather is going to suck.

Good choice. I bought my 2010 base Black listed at $2395 in. Trade in. It had some hail damage that I could only find by looking real close. runs great.

I needed this thread! As one of the few owners here to have an '09 Chicane Yellow Z, I am reminded of how lucky I am. Recently I have been considering a '10 Pearl White Roadster because I go back and forth on whether or not I want a convertible. But then I read a thread like this or even more frequently the many compliments and head turns I receive while I'm at a store, gas station, etc and I fall in love with my Z all over again. Thanks for the reminder!

Here's my research so far:

Price Research
2014 0 miles = $31,000
2012 1,000 miles = $27,000
2009 ~20,000 miles = ~$23,000
2009 ~40,000 miles = ~$20,000
Highest mileage 370 - 78,000 miles = $19,250
Prior model with 110,000 miles = $10,000
Prior model with 200,000 miles = $6-8,000

Depreciation Estimate:
From new to 100,000 miles with model change = $20,000 loss
From 20,000 to 120,000 miles with model change = $13,000 loss

From my research, it seems like it cost 50% more to buy a 370 new than with 20,000 miles on it!
