OP
I know some in here may find this blasphemous, but NO car is worth going into deeper debt or losing money over. Zs don't pay the bills, money does. Keep it in your pocket and keep the Gen as I am sure that thing has a good warranty and will last you a while. If you drop back to an 09 or a 2010Z, you may not know what your getting or what problems you may be inheriting. Z's are reliable, but with used you never know. Just my 2 cents. |

Yeah i initially was looking into 13 3.8 gen coupe before I got the Z but they were kinda hard to come by and not really discounting at the time. The 3.8 is about as quick as the z in straightline stats, but yeah Z is better handler. But if someone is looking for just a daily driver street car nothing wrong with 3.8 genesis performance. |
i drove the genesis coupe 3.8 track once, hated it, what i hated even more was the fact that the salesman told me it would be faster and better than my 370z...

the genesis coupe isnt a bad car though, i have considered getting a 2012 2.0T track edition used as a DD since they are super cheap(12k) |
typical car salesmen are like the editors at CR... :shakes head:

Unless you have $20k in cash you can't do a thing. Going back, going forward, NOTHING!!!! You don't really need $20k, I'm just making the point that you'll NEVER get financing for buying a Z & paying off your Hyundai, unless you HAVE & willing to PUT DOWN & LOOSE a bunch of money...... |

so wat do you drive?
i have a 370Z with MT. oh wow cool! - or - i have a hyundai AT oh.. |
I bought the Genesis brand new and it has 40k miles on it now. My wife drives the Genesis mostly (she loves it lol) but when I drive it I feel like something isnt right. Its lacking something that the Z has. It just feels numb compared to the Z. Depending on what you want in life in the near future (3-5 years) should really be the main determining factor of your decision.
The Z is inconvenient in a few places: 1) Seating - It sucks when you only have 2 seats in real life situations. Performance cars yes, daily drivers it can be a pain. 2) Storage - hahaha 3) Insurance - When you're young and you own a Z, get ready to take it in the rear. These are things that are a given however when you own a real sports car. The return is that awesome feel when you drive it. Quote:
