Are you talking loud in as, engine/exhaust note or loud as in road noise?
Its not that bad.

jtown82 04-02-2010 09:30 PM

wow lol.. if yall think the 370z is loud. you need to atleast walk around a v8 from time to time.... even with test pipes and no mufflers the 350 nor the 370z is that loud. i personally can barely even hear my 370z unless im going wot. then again i drove a ls1 with headers/bullet mufflers so my definition of loud is alittle different

I also agree that the g37 coupe is not better in all ways than the g35 coupe... Interior Design is the one and only thing that I think the g37 has over the G35... The g37 is heavy and rides really nice yes, but the performance is really hindered by its extra weight. Stock for Stock the a 2005 G35 Sport looks nicer imo than the 09 g37s.

But the 370z isnt all that loud compared to the 350 but the interior noise is definatly more than the average car Id say.

Ditto, but that's on the daily, not just in my Z.

Lots of great men heard voices, Einstein heard voices.......

We're normal as hell......... :ugh2:

It's music to my ears...

This car is quiet and plush compared to my Mazdaspeed3.

I like to hear the engine on a sports car I'd hope its loud!

My thoughts. At idle the 350 sounded better. the 370 is very quiet at idle.
the sound's at higher revs are different for each car,but both are great.

hands down the 370 has a smoother ride. i think most of the road noise comes from the crappy bridgestone tires.

i have no rattles or other issues (knock on wood)

anyway anyone who has owned both will tell you the 370 is twice the car the 350 is except for the 350 drivers.

Is it loud? It depends on the person. My parent thought it was loud and uncomfortable. I didnt think so. So I put in an intake, hfc and an hks exhaust. Wonder what would they think after I put in some coilover. LOL

I dont think its entirely due to the tires.. on smooth roads its fine but on anything else its very loud and annoying..of course keep in mind i am 66 so it doesnt take much to annoy me!!:icon18:

I got my 370 about a month and a half ago. I had read the reviews, so when I took the test drive I wasn't sure what I would find. All I can say is that it was love at first drive. Yes, you get road and engine noise. If you don't want that, get a Buick. All I can say is that driving my 370 is pure pleasure. It's fun!

When we got back from the test drive, my wife asked the salesman, "Is he going to buy it?"

The salesman replied, "Oh Yeah!" He was right. I drove that car home 2 hours later.

In short, try the car. You will know whether or not you want it right away.

As for "loud," the 370Z exhibits a roaring road noise on certain roads. I think a different set of tires might alleviate this problem, but it's no deal breaker.

Regrets? None.

I replaced the stock tires with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. I get significantly less road noise and the car sticks even on very wet roads. No aquaplaning at all so far.

It's definitely tire related. Most of the SouCal freeways are grooved surfaces and the howling noise is horrendous on long trips. You can really tell about the interaction of the tires and the road when you suddenly hit a mile or two of smooth asphalt and the noise level drops about 20 db. A tire's noise level rating will be very high on my criteria when it is time for new ones. I wasn't expecting the 370Z to have an interior noise level like a big Lexus but it does detract from the comfort on long freeway touring and also makes conversation a bit difficult at times.

True. When my father bought my old Supercharged Stang, he put the baffles back in the Bassani exhaust I had... It was too loud for him; and now that I think about it, it was pretty loud.
