I think I have the same problem with the brakes and I can't figure out how to get rid of it...

Hmm mine just went away with some braking, They said that rust forms at the slightest bit of moisture in the air and they werent kidding. All of mine came off but the inner circle rust you have might be due to another issue?

What size rotors do you have?? I have the z1 14" rotors. I think my problem is due to the pad not making contact with that area of the rotor.

ahh im running stock, I think your diagnosis is def correct. Usually the brake pads took the rust off for me. Hopefully you can get that off before it starts eating into your rotor for good.

Instead of worrying about these things, take your car to the dealer. It's under warranty.
