And also, I am well aware that street racing is illegal and is dangerous. The track where this happens was the service road of hwy 360 track and for those who are familiar that track is completely empty at 10 pm. I know this doesn't justify my actions any more or less but it is what it is and the challenger I was racing was a guy I knew, we weren't going through traffic or anything just taking advantage of a 1 mile straight away on the side of the track.
I am sorry to hear about what happened in Houston and hopefully after this I can learn to stop driving like an idiot unless it is on a tracked designed to do so. Again, thanks for the help everyone.
