No Cabin Filter on the 2009 370Z?

Although I haven't taken apart the glove box, I don't think the 2009 370Z has ANY cabin filter at all! Can anyone confirm this? My dealership cannot find a part # for it either.

I'm wondering if a 2010 one would work, since I know this is one of the changes in next year's model.

I am changing the one in my G over the weekend and plan to verify fitment in my Z as well. If you don’t get a response before then I will let you know.

2009 370Z has in-cabin microfilter. See page 4-22 owner's manual.

Are you on crack? This is completely irrelevant to the thread.

Nissan service manager told me all Nissan cars but the Z has cabin filter. The 2010 Z will start getting one.

That what I heard as well and that the manual was wrong. So, I am going to take a peek this weekend.

You know, I've had cars with in-cabin airfilters before. Even with the filters, I still smell the garbage dumps when I drive by without turning the A/C to recirculate and my wife always knows when I fart in the car. Doesn't seem to make a difference if you have one or not...

Ok, you have a point, but I would say it's really for the dust. When dust starts accumulating in the hard-to-reach areas of the vents, it looks nasty.

I've taken apart the glove box and there is a door for the cabin filter but no filter should be the same size as one of the other Nissan's guess they were trying to save some weight :icon18:

Some cars have 'Charcoal' filter to remove the smell.

That's great!

I also had no idea about this dust issue. So who is going to be first to figure out which filter we get and then make a little DIY on how to install it?

Asheth 08-22-2009 09:05 AM

Well thats 1 down on the improvements for 2010. Next is the heated mirrors lol.

Its probably same that goes in the G.
