guys like me are upgraders :ugh: or dusters :ugh2: at best.

then washer-mod should considered an actual mod..!!

because we actually have to ADD something in the car.... :icon18::icon18:

<20K here.. and I love every bit of it. Only thing that makes me have some regret at this point is that its still not in my damn garage!

but i just opened up a can of worms about the eyecandy remark vs mods.

if the car looks more pleasing than stock, would that be a mod, even if the wheels are gravity cast, tires they used are garbage? :ugh: (or would we just close that off calling it rice? :icon17: )

thus troyz's going wahahahahahaha!!! with popcorn.

I think eye candy mods are mods the same as go-fast mods are mods. I, also, don't think the term mod has any judgement behind it, at least it doesn't for me. There are plenty of mods that I wouldn't consider in a million years but they're still mods. That said, there's no accounting for taste! :stirthepot:

I can count tires and wheels as a mod. I swap both of them for track days. Also I do not use the OEM wheels.

So my Foose x 4 chrome steel wheels = 2000+ dollars
My Enkei track wheels = 2000+ dollars
And my extra set of tires for track = ~1500 dollars.

My Endless brake pads on OEM sport calipers = 700? dollars.

That's how. I don't NEED any of them to go do a tack day, but they are modifications. Just not necessarily gadgety do-dads.

yeah, I only have about 22000 on it. maybe 5000 on the street.

How much do you have in mods
$500 or Less
$1,000 - $2,500
$2,500 - $5,000
$5,000 - $10,000
$10,000 - $15,000
$15,000 - $20,000
$20,000 or More!

So I guess I can't vote yet until I spend more money as there is no voting option for $500 - $1000. My exhaust only cost $799.99 + $99 for shipping and I installed it myself.

I own a boat. BOAT = Break Out Another Thousand. If I spent for Z mods what I spend on BOAT, I'd have quite a car. As it is, my car came with every option except a trunk organizer and the only mod is tint. Stock is just fine with me.

cv129 11-12-2013 08:20 PM

My Z drinks redbull, don't need no mods

SS_Firehawk 11-12-2013 08:51 PM

Yeah, spending as much as I did makes me wanna throw up. I'm still on stock wheels and tires too. I still have a laundry list. Such a losing battle.

Wonka2581 11-12-2013 09:03 PM

I say you cannot take the money with you when you die, and tomorrow is not promised so screw it. Modding my Z makes me happy and thats all that matters......

Masterbeatty 11-13-2013 07:30 AM

When i spend money on my Z i always know i will make that money back by the amount of smiles i make when i push the gas and drop the clutch. So thats all that matters to me.

OldFart 11-13-2013 08:34 AM

I think when I'm done I'll be between 5-10, maybe a little higher then 10 as I'm adding this up in my head... Fortune coilovers, SPL control arms, whiteline sways, audio system (Kenwood, Focal). rear spats, diffuser, wing, lip. I don't keep a count, if I want it and like the price I get it.

Granted my previous toy... a 1970 Pro Street Camaro with a blown 447 BBC was well into the 6 figures and it wasn't done yet... A restructuring 3 years ago changed all that....

Duc_Z09 02-17-2014 08:01 AM

$0 so far, and I keep telling myself that all I'm going to add is tint, a shift knob, and maybe some better speakers.

I've got well over $7k into my Ducati so far and if I'm that bad with a bike, I'd hate to see what would happen if I started modding a car.:eekdance:
