Fúckin POS... No way, POS has more problems?

Car wash. Water soaked the passenger footwell of the car...

Tear out the interior... Coming from the footwell...

axmea? 10-31-2013 11:41 PM

Dude. Sorry. You did not see this issue before so what changed? Weird.

Lol same thing happened to me. The rubber grommet under the black plastic vent, under the hood, near the battery doesn't come out and go back in. Once out the plastic tabs under the rubber break. Those tabs are a seal for the rubber. If you had yours out it will leak and flood the passenger compartment. It will also flood the ECU wires! Thank god I got them all blown out, it was a hot summer day, and I let them dry for a day or two before start up. The part is just a few dollars.

UNKNOWN_370 10-31-2013 11:46 PM

You sure it's not the AC? My old 09 Z was always wet in the footwell in the passenger side.. Took it to the dealer and it was something with the AC. Can't remember exactly what though. But they repaired it under warranty.

DEpointfive0 11-01-2013 12:11 AM

Well, they took the motor out and the battery and god knows what else... I haven't done anything with it after getting it back...

I FB messaged the GTR tech that worked on my car... I vacuumed all the water out, used shammies, compressed air, anything I could... Car is on recirculate air to the ground with a battery charger hooked up, as well as a fan, and a dehumidifier

Play with the grommet. If its loose that's your problem.

Z370Z011 11-01-2013 12:55 AM

Dam dude, Nissans are just not your thing. lol.

brucelidat 11-01-2013 01:16 AM

no end of problems for you, damn

axmea? 11-01-2013 01:21 AM

Clearly, someone who touched it did not put everything back......and it could be the one before the last tech who worked on it. Who knows. That's tech error and not inherent to the car. Hassle none the less.

Well without painting fingers directly, the car sat in the desert. And when I got it back I noticed something smelled funky since I got it back, no in cabin air filter, so in the 3-5 car washes it got while it sat, water could've gotten anywhere...
I don't know... I've never touched the grommets anywhere...

critical 11-01-2013 03:25 AM

NS370Z 11-05-2013 12:41 PM

Your Z must have been mid production line at the Nissan plant when the Fukushima incident and earth quake happened. Damn man, I'd leave it in the hood with the key in it (j/k). Hope you get it all sorted so you can enjoy the car.:driving:

I think that's what was wrong with my 09? The evap hose.

DEpointfive0 04-20-2014 03:36 AM

Fücker leaked again...

Now I gotta take a day off and take a 160 mile round trip journey to get it fixed, or another band aid put on it...

Last time I got jacked with a 10 day rental... They didn't inform me that my repair wasn't going to be fully covered...

DEpointfive0 04-20-2014 03:41 AM

It was/is synolimit's suggestion

can you sell your car and get a toyota or lexus?

black_sedan 04-20-2014 08:05 AM

Its a shitty design. Both of my g35 sedans had a leak in the same spot. The grommet sits under the windshield cowl and if some how water gets in it collects around the grommet and leaks in. My first sedan i didnt seat the grommet all the way in after running the power cables for my amp, which was my fault. My v36 sedan leaked anytime it rained. I check the grommet and the seals and finally sprayed the whole grommet with flexseal.

It still leaked randomly and I finally just traded that POS in. If this happens on the 370z, I am done with Nissan products. I've had such shitty service from Nissan Customer service

kensnismo 04-20-2014 11:07 AM

and my wife wants to know why I want to get rid of the cute little car.

SgtGoldy 04-20-2014 11:39 AM

Time to go BMW.... LOL!

Damn brotha, give me a call if you need help

I've put so much time and money in this bitch it's killing me. And the problem is dealers as well as Nissan being cheap as shít when it comes to repairs, or that's what the dealers tell me...

If I was back in TX, I wouldn't have problems, and that's the issue I have.

I think that is leaking too, but it's gotta be tiny because there isn't water, but it smells like death.
I knew that going in though. Nissan's are supposed to be good cars...
