Car wash. Water soaked the passenger footwell of the car...

Tear out the interior... Coming from the footwell...

Dude. Sorry. You did not see this issue before so what changed? Weird.

Lol same thing happened to me. The rubber grommet under the black plastic vent, under the hood, near the battery doesn't come out and go back in. Once out the plastic tabs under the rubber break. Those tabs are a seal for the rubber. If you had yours out it will leak and flood the passenger compartment. It will also flood the ECU wires! Thank god I got them all blown out, it was a hot summer day, and I let them dry for a day or two before start up. The part is just a few dollars.

You sure it's not the AC? My old 09 Z was always wet in the footwell in the passenger side.. Took it to the dealer and it was something with the AC. Can't remember exactly what though. But they repaired it under warranty.

Well, they took the motor out and the battery and god knows what else... I haven't done anything with it after getting it back...

I FB messaged the GTR tech that worked on my car... I vacuumed all the water out, used shammies, compressed air, anything I could... Car is on recirculate air to the ground with a battery charger hooked up, as well as a fan, and a dehumidifier

Play with the grommet. If its loose that's your problem.

brucelidat 11-01-2013 01:16 AM

no end of problems for you, damn

Clearly, someone who touched it did not put everything back......and it could be the one before the last tech who worked on it. Who knows. That's tech error and not inherent to the car. Hassle none the less.

Well without painting fingers directly, the car sat in the desert. And when I got it back I noticed something smelled funky since I got it back, no in cabin air filter, so in the 3-5 car washes it got while it sat, water could've gotten anywhere...
I don't know... I've never touched the grommets anywhere...
