Actually, I had a shop do it for me since I had a few things I needed them to do for me. I don't believe they did because they had that light installed extremely fast from what I remember and they didn't mention to me that they had to remove any part of the bumper. I believe if you wire it up to work with the brake you will need to remove one of the tail lights? Not 100% sure on that but I believe I saw that in the DIY section under rear fog light install.
