I'm gonna be the guy on the other team and say sell the nsx and get a new vette or cayman?? Sure the nsx israre, nice looking but really nothing to be consider great compared to.modern cars. I like my nismo but if I had to decide between my car vs a nsx is the same condition stock for stock. I would eadily pick the nismo. Perhaps its because it is my DD. cost upkeep is big. I also dont belueve in buying a exspensive toy and hardly ever playing with it.

I'm bias though I have never driven a nsx so I really don't know what it truly is all about.

GEMu 10-26-2013 10:16 PM

I'm not sure about the US market, but mint condition, factory paint NSX-R in Japan cost 3 times more than the GTR.
NSX has possibility to be a future classic. Especially the NA2 R.

The NSX was a wonderful car in it's day and still does well but the 370Z is faster.

In 1995 I had a 300ZXtt and these cars seemed equal to me in the real world. I raced against one for years and was happy with the old Z. The new Z is faster still. The NSX fellow raced once and hung up his car keys.

1995 MSRP on NSX was $90K vs Z at $45K.

Supergoji 10-28-2013 08:59 PM

why dont you throw some cash at the NSX, like a comptech supercharger or a science of speed one, upgrade the brakes and suspension. you wont wanna get rid of it.

I agree with this. Don't sell your NSX, it is one of the best cars ever built imo. Save the miles and paint on the NSX and daily drive the Z.

And just in case, DONT sell the NSX man.

Don't sell it.

Don't.

For real don't.

Good car; NSX........Don't.

alcheng 10-28-2013 10:16 PM

keep it bone stock but make sure keep the NSX in very very good condition.

A bone stock mint condition classis is always much much more beautiful than a heavily modded.

it's not the matter of it is faster than which car, since you don't need to smoke every single car on the street to be the eyes-catcher.

like my previous posts... you are keeping it for its whole package...

It is a NSX.... it is always the classic piece.

Don't test drive a NSX, you will trade your Nismo in a heartbeat :tiphat:

3) The design and material being used on the chassis. Its chassis is aluminum monocoque, forged aluminum suspension. Plus the aluminum body.

4) The layout, mid-engine-rearwheel-drive, that means the most balanced and ideal layout for sports car, and the most to have fun with. And it is very difficult to find a modern sports car with this MR layout besides Ferrari and Lamborghini.

5) Value, its value is always there.

Did I miss anything..?? :icon17:

First titanium rod used in consumer vehicles, not F1.
It's a d1ck magnet of all times

Add some for you

Cus my G was auto, my Z is manual :bowrofl:

Seriously, I would keep both if possible. Cuz both cars are so classic!

:icon18: @ not stalling AT G.

honestly speaking, my G35C will never be as special as the NSX... unless ofcourse, infiniti continues its path of messing up their coupes like the mess of a car (imo) they did on the G37C. :icon17:

G37coupes... loved the concept, nice interior, but hate the rest of the car.

I would sell the GTI and get a 370z. Keep the NSX though, that is going to be a classic eventually. It already kind of is now.

khoala 10-29-2013 02:27 PM

Hey guys,
Finally got some free time and caught up on all the posts. I see that some of you are suggesting that I should sell the GTI for the Z, but thats not an option since its a family hauler and everything mover. Cant have two 2 seaters at the moment. I did at one point had an S2K along wiht the NSX. Well you can guess which one i had let go. I was actually thinking of sellig the nsx and getting another s2k. Anyways, back to the main topic. So i got a chance to drive the nismo over the weekend and decided that if im going to trade the NsX for Z, it would have to be a nismo. And since the one I drove had a worn clutch(2nd slipping out) I'm goig to wait a little longer until I can find a nice 2012 Red Nismo. So i'll keep the NSX until then. Cheers!

kenchan 10-29-2013 02:30 PM

The thing is 370z/Z34 is already at the end of its stint, new Fairlady Z is coming out very soon thus the Nismo version of it.

Looks like you are going to keep to NSX at least for another while....

My suggestion.... keep the NSX regardless....:happydance:

/Angelo350Z/ 10-30-2013 09:05 AM

Please keep the NSX. Performance aside, it's in a totally different league than the Z. Now, if the Z35 easily outperforms the Z34 for roughly the same price, then that's different.

Amj2020 10-30-2013 11:09 AM

The NSX is Legen...wait for it...dary
Dont get rid of it because its an icon of 90s and will always be in style, awesome, and a classic. Keep it garaged with no insurance or plates, dont drive it, but dont get rid of it! If its in good shape let me know id make an offer:P

Fountainhead 10-30-2013 12:20 PM

Khoala,

NO WAY would I sell an NSX, you can buy Z's all day long but try finding an immaculate RED NSX for $0.00, which is essentially what you've got.
Those are so fine. Who cares how fast it goes compared to car XX, it's not about speed, it's about the entire package.
Even if you don't keep it for any other reason than it's appreciating in value, it's now an investment.

Z370Z011 10-30-2013 12:47 PM

Your money, your life.
But I would keep the NSX any day of the week, because give it a couple of years and you'll start seeing a bunch of Z's on the road once the value takes a bigger dump and every high school kid starts buying one. But the NSX will always be an icon, and one day a classic or collectable car if it already isn't.

maybe your just bored of the NSX? doesn't mean you don't want it anymore. Why not invest the downpayment you were going to use for the Z, on some upgrades for the NSX? a small change can make a big difference in the look of the car.
