Yes, Nissan believes this as it was done with the GTR

The most useless comment ever lol

The last thing we need are features that make drivers even more lazy. I see enough of that sh-t on my commute to/from work on my motorcycle. I'd say, conservatively, 80-90% of lane changes have 0 signalling involved.

Oh, and I signal EVERYTHING - even when a thruway splits into two lanes - so don't give me the "I bet you don't signal anyway" statement.

I'm sure this has been said but... a turbo!

Flux Capacitor

Pandora app for streaming, that's all I'd want. Everything else about the car is perfect for me. It has it's quirks but that's what makes it unique. More soundproofing, visibility, smoothness will just make it less special IMO. An example is my friend had an old supra with a hand pump for seat adjustment. That wouldn't be acceptable anymore but things like that were unique. I don't want the Z to fit in with the crowd I want it to stand out as different and it currently does. That's why it's for me! Driving it reminds me of a car from the 80s, yet it hauls ***. Hope they keep the personality alive.

wow this was the no. 8th thread I created when I launched forum. I think first few threads were forum rules and such anyway. So this is technically one of the VERY first thread I created on 09-23-2008, 08:48 PM. You see, there were such less traffic, it took almost 8 months to get the first reply :icon14: (05/2009)

Around view monitor from my Infinitis. Tilt and telescoping wheel. More sound deadening.

Drakonis GTR 02-05-2014 05:00 PM

I can see why the didn't do the sound deadening, it just adds unnecessary weight, but with my exhaust I wish it had more. But that's something I will do on my own. A storage compartment overhead would be nice for things like sunglasses. I always end up having to leave mine in the one cupholder. :( What can I say, I like having a car with lots of places to hide stuff in.

A rear view camera should damn near be standard on these cars. It's like a gamble every time I have to back this thing up. Especially with the tools we have driving around here in Orlando.

A better sound system in the base models would be nice. Yes, I know, some people don't care about that, but to hell with them, they can turn it off :) I like my creature comforts.

And just for the sake of vanity, have a cabin lighting system where you can change the colors, just like Ford has in almost every car they make. That would be nice.

Now that Nissan get a chance to do it all over again, what would you like to see? Better visibility or thinner A pillar? or maybe more HP or better handling??

Twin Turbos

/thread

my2004Z 04-15-2014 01:41 PM

:driving: Okay, here's my list:
  1. Mid-Engine 3.5L Twin Turbo w/ KERS Option
  2. 3 Seats, Driver in Front Center
  3. 305/30-19 All 4 Tires w/ Cup Tire Options for Magazine Testing
  4. Adjustable Ride Height
  5. Multiple Driving Modes - Comfort, Sport, Race, Stunt, Custom
  6. Roof Scoop for Engine Air Intake
  7. Top Speed of 175 Electronically Limited (195 Drag Limited)
  8. Cameras Everywhere w/ Feed to Virtual Reality Glasses (No need to Turn Head, Just Move Eyes)
  9. Full GT-R Display & Telemetry Package (Feeds Glasses)
  10. Cell Phone Emulation with Signal Amplification
  11. Biometric Security System for All Modes Beyond Comfort
  12. Nismo Price <$50K and Base Price <$40K
  13. Everything The Driver Touches Should Be Fully Adjustable in 3D Space
Nissan should start out designing/building a track car for the Nismo version then tone it down for the softer models. I understand that this is how the current GT-R was first thought out. :driving:

I love my Z, but I would do the following ... hope you guys get a quick laugh too:

1-Shave off that fat nose .. the hood is higher than most sports car's roof from the 90s, the Z needs to see DR. 90210 or something
2-Replace and relocate the stupid mirrors, I almost hit a pedestrian this Sunday, since it blocks the entire view it's crazy. I mean the person that designed the view from inside must be blind or an idiot ... there is not even an inch between the actual mirror-glass and the door frame, the plastic piece as part of the entire mirror blocks the little view you could have
3-Lower the front I mean, I am not driving a freaking Cuda or anything of that nature
4-Improve those seats, leg support sucks unless you are a freaking smurf, I am tall dude so I have long legs, my !@#$% basically hang
5-Improve quality of plastics some more (as it improved from the 350z)
6-Improve quality of the paint, I mean if you look at it too hard it chips
7-Improve look of the lower nose, adding a standard lip of some sort so it looks like they finished the car, rather than the designer went home sick that day
8-Go back to the 09-12 wheels for Sports Package style
9-Fix that noise manual shifting/transmission makes, when will Nissan get this right??? Sometimes first gear sounds like they left nuts and bolts inside the transmission housing.
10-Add a DCT/PDK like transmission as an option, but the real deal
11-Seal the trunk better, most of the noise comes from there
12-Offer a Touring Option in the Nismo Model
13-Make leather standard, or leatherette or something
14-Build a Nismo that is much better, lighter, faster, etc. Sort of the S model in the Porsche 911

As they build a new car, everything can be a little better (power, weight, torque, suspension, etc, etc) which in turn it makes a much better car, sort of the way Porsche does, they improve everything just a little, in turn a much better car.
