Being in the Northeast, a smooth road of any kind will make me smile. Smooth twisties make me pee my pants.

I told him I was simply trying to get away from him, and that I did try to call the cops on him.

Afterward the light changed, and we drove normally to the next intersection. He turned left, and I turned right. I honestly didn't want to confront him and escalate the situation any further. Plus, I had a hard time identifying the car and license plate. It was some old wagon like it was an 80's VW. I don't know. He was provoking me, and I got scared and wanted to get away.

At the same time I couldn't call 911 on my phone. It kept saying the line was busy. I couldn't get a hold of 911 once I got home, and my neighbor (former officer) couldn't believe it.

I know those drivers. Most of them have either MO plates or JOCO KS plates and are absolute morons. Seems to me to be the height of stupidity to mess with someone with a veterans tag and a USMC sticker. I carry a SIG P229 in my daily travels just for jackwagons like that.

Not a single road in Phoenix, that's for damn sure.

I have yet to take it on any "fun" roads. Hopefully I will be heading North this weekend! :excited:

ohohoh123456,

I was on that stretch of road this summer. The road is almost brand new with almost no traffic. It was a fun ride.

Any twisty roads and On-ramps are pretty fun except when a 18 wheeler is in the way! :shakes head:

Chuck33079 10-04-2013 01:23 PM

Given the OP, I can't believe no one answered "The one that takes you past the local high school."

Lime Creek is great fun and very close to me, but not exactly on my way to work.

On my daily route I can take Old Spicewood Springs Rd and FM 2222, but the traffic usually makes it not worth it on the weekdays :( Old Spicewood is a nice leisurely cruise at 35 mph with a good number of curves and low water crossings (never drive that route in the rain or after a heavy rain). FM 2222 is a short run but has good speed at 45 mph speed limit and a pretty significant elevation change :driving:

:icon18: hahahaha. i felt the same way. but it turns out, everything happens for a reason and for me, i noticed that each time im 'blocked' to make a fast turn, someone above is looking after me cause a cop almost always is waiting on the other side. :rofl2:

so, dont feel bad when this happens even though it does piss us off.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Highway 6 in Oregon. This stretch of road has so many turns that the map makers just gave up with it's accuracy. The last time I was there I spent a good hour and a half just doing left, right, brake, accelerate. I don't think I had the car going straight for more than 20 seconds at a time. All the while heading to that BEAUTIFUL Pacific Coast Highway where I've seen some of the most beautiful displays of nature ever! This is NOT for anyone who gets even remotely close to motion sickness!

In Depoe Bay there is a restaurant called Sea Hag restaurant and lounge . The food was amazing! Ever had salmon and halibut braided together? No? You gotta try it!
