Can a stock 370 with sport package spin the wheels ?

Pretty basic question, want to know if a stock 2009 with sport package can spin the wheels from a stop(do a burnout). Can it break traction in second while moving? Having a discussion with someone and we are stuck on this .
Assume basic tires and normal use, no mods. 6 speed and auto.
Thanks

I don't see a problem breaking them loose

As far as the auto is concerned, no problem there

Here's an old video

You can also break them lose with VDC on as well ;)

Thank you. That was what I was trying to find out. Not having one myself I thought this was the place to ask.
going back and forth between a 370z and a 335i(had one of these, know what they can do)
Was talking to a friend about it and he said they couldn't spin the wheels. I thought he was wrong, and he was.

WTF just happened in here? :icon14:

A BMW? Ew.

Haha, can't spin the wheels...tell your friend to stop by.

Just about any car can spin the wheels if you try hard enough. Yes even minivans..

Really? This is a criteria for decision on a Z vs a 335i?

kenchan 09-06-2013 01:38 PM

no minivan or 335i

DIGItonium 09-06-2013 01:39 PM

I've witnessed a driver of a Honda Odyssey spin its wheels as he leaves the car wash. Drives it like a race car. O_o

kenchan 09-06-2013 01:42 PM

yah, them minivans always beat me when they race me in my Z. they so fast.

Y'all never took out your mom's minivan for a test run when you just turned 16 and burn some rubber? Dang, people do it at the local drag strip around here.

ElVee 09-06-2013 01:45 PM

I get so rippin made I slam my hands on the wheel and scream at the windshield every time a minivan makes me eat their exhaust!

I was at a party and had two dudes argue with me and my buddy that the 350Z is a front wheel drive car. We both owned them as ours were sitting out front. The sad part is they were serious. We offered to show them right now but then ended up leaving cause we were making fun of them so much. Some people...

mag_black 09-06-2013 02:28 PM

I break loose in 2nd while on a roll.

ElVee 09-06-2013 02:30 PM

Break loose and...bust a move?

kenchan 09-06-2013 02:40 PM

DIGItonium 09-06-2013 02:48 PM

Regardless, I think my car can break the tires loose. :ugh2:

kenchan 09-06-2013 02:49 PM

i think the real question should've been who can pop a wheelie?

What if you put the tires on upside down? will it peel out then?

Bking 09-06-2013 05:15 PM

I think your username answers your own question, OP. Except the 13, and hopefully it's not your age or the year you graduated from highschool.

Good luck on that one. I have yet to get a front set to last one year.

Waiz 09-06-2013 06:12 PM

If a Prius can do it, don't see why a Z can't

Did you say auto? Then it's a 7-speed...

Turn off traction control, hold brake, rev to 2500 and hold or whatever it will allow before it cuts power (you can eliminate this by pulling the brake light fuse or setting a toggle switch and then rev as high as you are willing, BTW), let go of brake, destroy tires.
