Nooowww it looks like p*nis :wtf2:

enkei2k 08-28-2013 08:35 AM

The key word there is 'concept'

Unless there is official word from Nissan directly, everything out there is pure speculation.

theDreamer 08-28-2013 08:36 AM

That is the concept car ESFLOW...old news.
It is Nissan's take on an electric sports car.

Chuck33079 08-28-2013 08:40 AM

How many threads are we going to have on the Z35? Can we get a mod to roll them all together?

1st 08-28-2013 09:20 AM

It looks like the drawing without all the body lines. Not to mention it has side exhausts like a viper.

Are the wheels 24"? :nutswinger:

More speculation. Enjoy.

Not to be off the topic of the horrendous z concept but there's something nice about the Mustang (and I'm far from being a ford fanboy) and the WRX.

I think so too. I must be going crazy becasue I'm looking at Mustangs in a different light these days! :excited:

Shadezz 08-28-2013 10:25 AM

Looks like a dang Roller Skate. Makes me love my 370 even more at this point....could change.

DIGItonium 08-28-2013 10:28 AM

I like Ford's direction with the Mustang especially the 2013. A quick glance and you know it's a Mustang, and I can feel that DNA is alive. The new Corvette, IMO, looks good but doesn't look and feel like a Corvette.

The Z, unfortunately, might need to sacrifice some practicality since it's not as practical as other sports cars to begin with (not much to lose there). That way it'll end up with a tighter package, which is more performance oriented, which makes it a much more pleasurable car to drive. For the Z, it's not about the horsepower. It's about the balance, and how efficient it can put that power down to the ground. Plus, it needs to feel faster, which is a thrill. Regardless of how much power it makes, there will always be faster cars.

Muney2bMade 08-28-2013 10:37 AM

I've never actually seen a concept car end up looking like the actual car. Lol

This. They are usually toned down quite a bit.....a good thing in this particular case!

muzik212 08-28-2013 10:58 AM

Sorry to revive an old thread, but what would you guys think about a version of the engine used in the Mercedes A45 AMG for the 2015 Z? It's a 2.0L turbo charged 4cyl producing 355 hp.

If Nissan do a 4 cylinder turbo with anything more then 315hp and a weight less then 2900 pounds they can count me in.
As for the mercedes motor I really don't see them slapping that engine in. I would prefer to see a 2.5 (like the sentra SE-R) motor and have the techs slap a turbo on that and build it withstand a lot of power since they already have that engine in their lineup.

brucelidat 11-07-2013 11:35 PM

This is damn old now. Anyhow, if the new Z looks anything like the Esflow, I'll be staying in my z34 until the z36 comes out or I move into a c7 or if something else better comes along. The way Nissan is going with their designs, though, my hopes aren't too high for the z35, but I'm being hopeful and we'll find out in a few weeks at the Tokyo motor show.

Call me crazy but I've always liked the looks of the ESFLOW concept. It doesn't look great from all angles but it looks pretty sporty from several.

kenchan 11-08-2013 10:54 AM

couple more weeks. :D

NissanGuy23 11-08-2013 02:31 PM

4r3s 11-08-2013 02:59 PM

that article's use of english made my brain hurt in trying to figure out what the hell they were actually trying to say...

4r3s 11-08-2013 03:03 PM

The mustang looks like a sporty version of the fusion.

Love the current model Z styling, and looking forward to see what the new one is like. The current Z's style is clean, unmistakably sporty, powerful, and classic. The styling is integrated such that it doesn't look like one group styled the front, another the rear, another the side etc. The current Z doesn't have unnecessary styling add-ons such as the BR-Z fake fender vents, nor any inexplicable body lines going in different directions, like the 06 BMW Z4, or any exaggerated overwrought lines, like the new Z4, or C7 for that matter.
All IMHO of course.

I'd like to have a 370Z, but decided to wait until I see the new one. If it's a lot like the white ESSflow in the picture (or whatever it's name is), I'll pass like many have said, and get the current model. A lighter, better performing and more efficient car would be desirable, but not if the designers go goofy and exaggerated with the styling. The current Z is proof that a sports car can be "understated" yet distinct and impressive in styling. I can't think of another sports car that equals the Z's presence without being over-styled and exaggerated. If the new Z has the classic proportions of the original, similar performance to the current model, and continues the tradition of clean and straightforward styling without the exaggerations and goofiness of so many cars these days, then I'm a buyer.

Firebase99 11-09-2013 09:53 PM

I have a 2013 Z, looking forward to the Z35, unless its a HUGE performance improvement over the Z34, i mean HUGE (dont really see how thats possible and keep the price reasonable), ill stick with the 370. Im getting a bit track experience at Sebring with Chin racing, putting down decent times. So less weight, more power...unless it actually WORKS at being a better drivers car, i.e. faster on the track I dont see myself trading for a Z35. Then again like Jordo said, lightening may strike again. I also have a DD, two actually, though I like driving the Z most days, so it has to be double duty.

:iagree: I don't even like bigger spoilers than the current sport pkg. has. Not even a fan of the 13/14 side front lights. That's just me....

andyj makes an excellent statement above. IMHO, I think the Nismo spoiler and LED's fit in well with the Z.

alphajam 11-10-2013 03:26 PM

That is a terrible looking concept car.
