Nope. Just pedal feel. Yank it out. It takes 15 minutes and a pair of needle nose pliers. Ten minutes out of the fifteen is contorting yourself around to get to the damn thing.

I still need to do this. :shakes head:

It makes a huge difference. You'll be done with it before you can finish a beer or two.

So does the removing the spring also change the engagement point as well as provide feel? Or does it just provide feel?

Feel.

Just installed my Fast Intentions exhaust on my 2013. Coming from my 2010 there are a couple things. The first thing I noticed is they deleted a hanger (someone touched on that already). As such, the OE muffler only has two hanger points as opposed to three.

What I also noticed was that I didn't have an evap canister heat shield in place. I bought mine new and it was never on the car. So I utilized the heat wrap and zip ties provided and that was that. Anyone else with a 2013 missing the heat shield?

Honestly, I don't remember.

I'm trying to picture it all... where at on the car? I know there were some heat shields on the bottom, but I don't think that's what you're talking about.

It's a black canister on the fuel tank side. The 09-12's had them. In the FI installation guide, they actually require removal of it, and then heat wrapping the lines underneath it. I will try to dig up a picture.

Then what do you call the heat shield in between the muffler and the evap in the pic?

The evap cover they're talking about is the one referenced in the Fast Intentions instructions that cover the hoses you see in the picture. Yes the heat shield is there (aluminum piece you see in the picture above) but the evap cover isn't (pictured here).
