"maintenance - oil" still showing up after an oil change?

I took my car to the dealer to take care of the steering lock issue and also a synthetic oil change, but I am still seeing the maintenance oil icon

Default "maintenance - oil" still showing up after an oil change?

I took my car to the dealer to take care of the steering lock issue and also a synthetic oil change, but I am still seeing the maintenance oil icon when I start the car. Has this happened to anyone else? I am wondering if they actually changed my oil

Is the reminder set in the Maintenance settings menu of the leftmost instrument panel display?

If you or the previous service tech used it, the most recent tech might not have reset it.

They are just reminders based on mileage. When you hit the mileage set for each maintenance item (oil, filter, tires), the corresponding indicator light comes on. You have to reset it to turn the indicator light off (set the reminder to 0 miles to turn it off completely).

if you have the nav there's two places you can set reminders-in the nav unit and on the left small digital gauge.
