It's not a scam if the buyer pays for a product, and receives the product in an undamaged state. Scam implies fraud, an actual crime. That's a really loaded term to be throwing around.

I’m actually not. There are no returns on products that are built to order. But how is one to know that if it’s not disclosed. I personally didn’t know that. If There are no returns on products that are built to order would have been posted, disclosed or advised. End of store customer has no say. But since it’s not that doesn’t mean squat. Sounds like better business practices need to be done with a simple disclosure of There are no returns on products that are built to order so on an so forth. I do agree that a restocking fee should apply though. FYI I can care less about who wins the battle of the mis bought side skirt. I am not siding with parties and in no way believe Shine Auto is a scam. Just giving feedback from a consumers point of view.

Oh, I agree it's a customer service fail. A return policy (and hefty restocking fee) is the norm on these things. I just took issue with the OP saying "it just wasnt the material and shape i expected it to be", accusing Shine of fraud, and then it comes out that he just changed his mind and was pissed he couldn't return it.

Try to PM a member Shineauto, if you want to contact them.

It wouldn't hurt for an employee to pick up their business phone and tell me exactly what you all are nagging about now. I dont deserve to deal with this bs. No return policy, no return calls or emails. How the hell am I supposed to know? Screw it, keep your damn 350 dollars. Never buying **** from there again, which I was planning on doing so in the future.

cooltoy 07-11-2013 10:00 AM

Well that's that. I can now gone on with my life.

File a complaint with the better business bureau. Don’t let others become a victim. https://www.bbb.org/consumer-complai...nt/get-started
It ain’t the money it’s the principle for the fact that there is not a return policy disclosed.

Thanks for that! Complaint filed.

Maybe I'll get flamed for this but replicas are rip-offs of the original, right? So complaining about getting ripped off regarding a ripped off product...kinda ironic.

Chuck33079 07-11-2013 11:15 AM

It's not a ripoff. He got what he ordered. He just couldn't return it. I agree that's lacking good customer service and I'd hesitate to buy from a vendor with no return policy, but it's not a scam, ripoff or fraud. Those are potentially libelous terms implying a crime and they don't apply here.

What BS!! You ordered a product that is built after ordered. Then after you receive it ( not during the build process) you are mad cause you can't return it? You should of known that the moment you didn't want it anymore that you were going to have to eat some cost and sell it here on the forum. You act as if Shine is only at fault for your decisions. No blame on yourself.

Glad you didn't order a custom built car. Geez! It's custom car parts. Not a T shirt. Then for you to call them scammers. HA!

Chuck33079 07-11-2013 03:32 PM

The BBB complaint was a nice touch too. This is the first time I've been glad they don't mean much anymore.
