Nissan 370Z Forum

First week ...

Congrats on your Z! You've been hanging around here for a while now, so you should pretty much know what to expect. Were there any surprises for you?

Thanks!

Surprises? Not really. I had driven a few of them (test drives). The most surprising aspect was just how comfortable I feel in the car. The driving feel is amazing. The clutch and gearbox are a lot smoother than my old Honda's. And the seats are just great! Only one adjustment since I first sat in the new car!

The only big surprise that I had(have had mine for about 2 weeks) was that I kept on opening the center console with my elbow while driving. Kinda annoying but im just used to not putting my elbow there any more.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your car.

Any initial impressions on the blind spot?

Some new outlets make a big deal about it, while actual 370Z owners dismiss it as an over-hyped issue.

What say you?

Martin

P.S. post some pics....

No, not an issue with me. The car does have limited visability, but if you use the mirrors properly, I don't think it should be a bother. BTW, look at my profile and you'll see some pics. (I posted the same ones on earlier threads, but you can see them in my albums.)

Hey 6MT! Congrats on the car! I'm glad you're loving the thing. I noticed the same as you... I have an '09 Infiniti FX35 as well, and this little shoebox of a car is more comfortable than my luxury/sport cruiser! I can't even believe how comfortable those seats are!

Okay, about this satellite radio problem... This is how it works on my FX. Now I know I can't just scroll up and down the channels on the wheel, which yes, is annoying. If you program in your favorites on a memory bank, you can scroll through your favorite sat channels, but that is all. It's a halfway fix, but give that a shot. I didn't get the touring model, so I don't have it, but know that my FX is really similar to all the other Nissan telematic system. Hopefully that will help you out a bit, but not completely solve the XM problem.

Enjoy!

OK Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try. I haven't been in the car in a couple of days because I just detailed it. And it's sitting in my garage.
