I'm pretty sure you guys mean Chicane Yellow

uhhhh yup! I was just toying with the "Canary Yellow". I'm assuming that he was just toying with me. Then again..................

Chuck33079 06-14-2013 11:34 AM

I'm not a senior yet, but I'm in the "no big wing" camp with you. I took mine off my sti almost immediately.

If you want to modify the exterior down the line, I'd say wait so you won't have to worry about covering the holes in your hatch.

Keeping it "real".....i.e. stock!

Okay guys....thank you all for your votes and opinions. Much appreciated! Out of 88 votes so far, 66 of you said yes, 12 of you said no. Although it's not the 90% I was looking for, it's close enough at 84%. Bottom line is that I like the looks with the spoiler also. I just needed that extra push from my 370Z forum brothers to go ahead. I'll be putting my order in for it soon and will post before and after pics when done. Thanks guys!

Yeah, but it's new paint on the spoiler. Your car is several years old with sun and UV exposure, even if it's been garage kept. Hopefully it matches just right, but set aside an "oh ****" fund in case you have to get a shop to make it match better.

Well, eBay one, somehow the color matching is always good, and if it isn't, you threaten the guy in china, and you get a refund or they'll send you another

Damn I was close with the 85% estimate

Chuck33079 06-14-2013 02:02 PM

Just made it 85% so you'd be dead on.

Spoiler for sure

2xtreme1 06-16-2013 02:58 PM

Def, need a spoiler!
When I was looking for the car, I just had to have the sport sports package for the Spoiler, and of course the rims.
It fits so well on this car, and without it it looks a tad naked or something does not quite seem right. Most Z's I see around my City lack the sports package and well, the spoiler. I love the 370z but without one it is just not the same to me! Even my mom thinks it needs to spoiler, yes my mom. (she calls them a tail haha) I once pointed out a 370z on the road (base) and she said she did not like it because it did not have the "Tail" haha.
Anyways, I see that you are going to go ahead and order one. Hopefully fitment, color, and installation all goes well. Can't wait for pictures!!

Mom's always know best! I have to admit that I am a little nervous about having holes drilled into my Z but I know it will be worth it. Thanks for your hopefull comments....ME TOO!

Yes to the spoiler.

It is like clevage. Not essential but I like it!

The people have spoken!

Hey guys....we're up to 100 votes yes at 86.21%. I've already decided that it's close enough to my target 90% for my decision to get the spoiler but keep voting. Lets see if we can hit that 90% mark! Thanks everyone!

I like the way the Z looks with the spoiler but is it worth the money and is washing and waxing around it going to be a real pain? Should I leave well enough alone? I really can't decide. I'm interested to see how many of you like the looks with the spoiler or without. I'm hoping your votes will help me make my decision. Thanks!

Wow you really want to please everybody.

Do this only if you, and you alone like it.

I'm the only one who I need to please of course. It's just nice to get opinions from other Z owners who love the Z and know what looks good on that body style. Of course the ultimate decision will be based on what looks good to me. I never asked what people thought about the color yellow!

12155ny 06-17-2013 03:06 PM

Get the spoiler. I bought mine without and had one put on. It was an ordeal to have it put on....but worth it....

Why was it an ordeal?

alvitdk 06-17-2013 07:46 PM

Absolutely spoiler, I bought a ebay aftermarket and pre-painted, spot on and with great instruction for mounting it. No fear of drilling, quite easy and since it is aluminum, no worries about rust. Still make sure to use lots of silicone.

I could not decide either in the beginning but showed pictures with and without to my wife, who absolutely hates spoilers, but even she agreed it gives the Z the finish touch.

Do guys ever swap hatches here? In the evo and subi world its huge! No wing, small wing, STI wing trunk swaps happen daily.

We TRY... Most like their wing though, AND Nissan can't match paint worth a damn, so that makes it hard too...
And there isn't a WRX, THEN STi, it's all one model, so it's harder to find a base model guy to swap with

It was ordeal since I bought it painted. When it arrived, the color (gun metallic) wasn't even close. Took about a month to get the matter resolved Carid.com. Fortunately, my good friend owns a auto detail shop and painted it for cost. Otherwise, it would have been more expensive. Had to scan the paint to get the right mixing codes. It was hard to match since every panel is slightly a different color. Nissan does a lot of great things, painting just isn't one of them.

Yikes....very interesting! That scares me and it was one of the things I was worried about since I was told that it comes prepainted. I was going to have a body shop that works in conjunction with my Nissan Dealer install it after I ordered it through the Parts Dept at the dealer. Now I plan to ask the body shop if they will paint it if the prepainted color does not match to my satisfaction. Thanks for the info!

I personally prefer clean lines at the back. I got the sports package though, I sometimes wish I could remove the spoiler or maybe switch hatches with somebody.

Really? The spoiler is the only thing that makes the back look half way decent, you are definately in the minority.

Infamous 06-18-2013 10:53 AM

No spoiler! I can't vote from my tapatalk app.

I voted yes...but! i would love if a photo shop wizard could do the rear z with a molded in duck bill, kind of like the Genesis coupe's rear hatch is (without the spoiler) - sorry can't get to photo album @ work so here's a link.

I say no. My co-worker just got a sentra that came with a stock spoiler, so many cars these days have them just to look sporty. I think a sports car that doesn't need a spoiler to look sporty (like the Z) is just that much sexier for it. Only way I'd add one is of I were going to track my car.

Hope you have better luck than I did. In reality, CY is probably easier to match and you probably won't have the color variance between panels. Getting a pre painted spoiler would probably work for you. Most of the spoilers all come with a template so they are easy to install. Glad to help...

But CY is awesome. Of course you didn't need any opinions.

Enjoy the new look with the spoiler. :tiphat:

Yea I really like the no spoiler look
Heres a pic I rlly like, not my car
That "hard line" which normally is covered by the spoiler looks good I think

Then I see it's an old post. Shame on me.

Doesn't look too bad from the side, but I do wish that little hump on the back end would extend a little bit more forming into a spoiler instead.http://www.the370z.com/members/darks...8-dsc-0052.jpg

sp911 11-10-2015 02:19 PM

personally a 350 looks better without a spoiler and a 370 looks better with. imo.

Nixin 11-10-2015 03:52 PM

The 370Z looks unfinished or like its missing something without the spoiler.
