Can you fit two golf bags in a 370Z trunk?

YES, you can!

http://www.the370z.com/images/japan%...golf%20bag.jpg

For all you golf lovers out there, this is a great news. Nissan did such an amazing job with this new Z. Many people were skeptical if they can fit their golf bags in the Z. Well, I am happy to let you guys know -- you can fit TWO of them!!!

The G comes with a diagram in the trunk to tell you how to di it lol

G in ny 12-15-2008 01:18 AM

lollll nice

bigdog1250 12-15-2008 01:22 AM

I remember that my 03 Z talked about how to fit 2 golf bags specifically in the back in the car's manual.

Slidefox 12-15-2008 01:22 AM

Sweeeeet

diskreet 12-15-2008 12:41 PM

Am I the only person on Earth who doesn't play golf, or a car manufacturers that out of touch? I just don't get it.

BTW, that is good news that there is that much room back there.

nogoodname 12-15-2008 01:03 PM

^^ I dont play golf either,

but this shows that there is sufficient room in the back !!!!!!

MC 12-15-2008 01:25 PM

you know looking back on it, the strut in the middle on the 350z was kinda odd. they set up now just makes more sense

zsport1 12-15-2008 01:26 PM

Seems that the "can you fit two golf bags" in the Z is the standard on rating the rear cargo area :icon17:

drmike 12-15-2008 01:44 PM

Non-golfer here, but the more golf bags fit back there, the more track bags and boxes of track stuff will fit, too.

18rgcelica73 12-15-2008 02:02 PM

Funny thing is, people make fun of manufacturers by saying you can only fit a set of golf clubs in the back, but yet they take up a whole lot of space. I think in my ep3 you might be able to fit them back there.

tranceformer 12-15-2008 02:12 PM

Forget the golf bags. I don't know many people that play golf.

Here's a more practical application: How many dead hookers can you fit in there?

18rgcelica73 12-15-2008 02:15 PM

Well from what I have seen they are pretty stiff so you have have to lay them diagonally and on top of eachother I can see maybe four stacked two by two.

That cargo cover is a nice addition to the previous model.

zero 12-15-2008 02:16 PM

That's great to know. I thought I have to put the golf bag on a passenger side.

18rgcelica73 12-15-2008 02:17 PM

Yeah no whitnesses:tiphat:

Agreed. I never understood the reason for a strut in the middle of the trunk.

Maynard 12-15-2008 07:16 PM

AK you rock! That question was something that I brought up in another thread. Thanks!

Good find. This was actually one of the reasons I went with a G instead of a Z - that and the plastic interior.

:driving: :bowrofl: :icon18: Agreed! I'm really pleased to see the new Z's trunk is of a healthy size....for those times you actually need to carry something but don't want to be stuck driving something booooring.

diskreet 12-16-2008 12:09 AM

O/T can someone PM me the pics of the subwoofers? I heard there are pics somewhere and I can't find them.

As I was posting this thread, I remembered your thread about the trunk space issues. But I couldn't find the thread at the moment. Glad I can help.

I just need to know how many dead hookers and kilos of cocaine you can fit back there.

there's a lot of hiding places in the 350z with the storage bins behind the cabin. the good thing is there's a cargo cover now! :ugh2:

^^^^No, YOU are supposed to be hooking, not killing hookers.
They never have enough money on the body if you are looking to buy a new car.
If you hook then you'll make way more! that or kill the pimp.

Hooking

Bodies are meant for a Caprice or a caddy. :D

If you hook then you'll make way more with less,...you know,... death.

Hooking? :ugh:

I'm not old enough to drive a caddy.

I'm more worried if I can get away if baddies in a corvette suddenly chase me in a shopping mall. Although I may use it as a Marine landing craft once or twice :rofl2:

Can you fit two bags with clubs

Any reason why the two bags have covers on them. Cannot tell if they have clubs in them. Has anyone tried fitting bags with a driver in the bag into the Z?

That and has anyone verified these are typical sized clubs? With the steering wheel on the right who knows? Seeing the space in person had me concerned for my clubs. Hopefully I'll be an owner in April and can confirm.

I'm sure someone will confirm before then.

I'm really good at Tetris. Give me 10 dead hookers and a meat hammer and I'll make 'em fit!

sambonator 05-05-2010 03:43 AM

Is it possible to fit 2 golf bags in the new 370z convertible?
Or maybe just even 1...?

prichardson 05-08-2010 03:16 PM

Definitive YES!

My wife and I debated about this for months while I waited for delivery of my car. Of course she was pretty convinced that two sets would not fit. I felt (somewhat) confident that they would. There was much eye rolling. I took delivery yesterday and today we did the test.

I won!!

I had to remove the cargo cover and take the driver / 5-wood out of my bag, but here is the conclusive evidence:
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_xXwPrxQbK18/S-...lf%20Clubs.JPG

How sweet is it when you get to legitimately say:

I told you so!!

I'm stoked!

soCo 05-08-2010 03:22 PM

haha that's awesome, looks like a tight fit, but you definitely got it. Winnar!

prichardson 05-08-2010 09:54 PM

Oh, and my clubs fit in on their own diagonally without having to remove the cargo cover or taking out the woods - double score!

gumpy 05-09-2010 04:26 AM

This is the car's best design feature...

pompey 05-09-2010 05:15 AM

alot of my friends didnt thin i would have alot of trunk room, guess there wrong huh

These must be Dorf"s golf bags.

I was able to squeeze 1 mid size bag and 1 carry bag, after removing all the longer clubs and umbrellas.

Can be done, very tight squeeze, not like this pic at all.

Dorf, nice ride.

Look what side the steering wheel is on.

Those are JDM golf clubs and bags... :rofl2:

rmorrow 08-08-2010 12:48 PM

My golf clubs will only fit if I lay the bag diagonally from front to back. I actually have to prop about two inches of the top of the bag across the rear strut brace. I did not really consider taking the driver and fairway woods out of the bag...but this is a pain in the a*s, and I really worry about loose clubs in the back.
No way I could get a second golf bag in the cargo area, and still have room for golf shoes and my small "adult beverage" cooler that I use as "aiming fluid".
