A lot has changed since the mid/late 90's. I think that's an outdated comparison or case study to refer to and use some 12+ years later in 2008/2009. Nissan has allot more credibility now especially with the success of the GTR. The GTR proved to the world that Nissan has some very talented engineers. There not the same company back in the 90's on practically all levels.

This has nothing to do with cars, but i'm bringing it up to make a point. Do you remember Sony's Betamax versus JVC's VHS format war? Do you think Blu-Ray would exist today if Sony looked back at their defeat in 1988 and concluded that they should not introduce Blu-Ray because in all likelihood it would meet the same fate as betamax? Using your "passed performance" logic, that is what Sony should have done. Well we all know what happened.

You can argue your case until your face turns blue but the fact is there will be no V8 Z Car. It's not going to happen.

zsport1, you always miss the point. The discussion is not about if it will or will not happen--the point is there are many valid arguments/reasons that lend support for such a car.

Whether such a car is in Nissan's plans or not isn't the focus of this discussion.

The original post of the OP was the rumor of a V8 370Z. So, yes, that was the point of this thread. And I did agree with you in my earlier post that there was a valid agruement for a V8 Z.
With all due respect, you are the one who is not getting the point.

I'm referring to my posts to you--not the original posts regarding rumors. My apologies for not being more specific in my previous post.
