Honestly, some of the replies in this thread (and the others that have discussed this same topic) are comical. "don't touch VDC unless you have some clearance and room to spare and no one to hit", "unless you are track God, drift king, ... leave VDC ON" - I mean really, some of the comments are just plain laughable.

If you don't know how to handle a performance car, then yes, leave VDC on. If you do know how to handle a performance car, then it doesn't matter.

Sheesh...

:iagree: The car in stock form isn't that quick but if you're careless and let it get away from you then I guess you deserve it. Stupid SHOULD hurt.

Between the A/C and this hot humid air in Florida it feels like a boat anchor is tied to the flywheel.

Liking this forum, don't know why I just found it...this is my 3rd Z, first was the last model year of the 300, second the last of the 350...makes me wonder what's in store for the 370 :icon17::icon17:

Again, input much appreciated...Jim

This forum is great man thanks for joining, and if you have a solid question(basaically any honest one), there is little(won't say none) of getting flamed. Most people are in the same league as you and me-just a guy that likes his car does an occasional track day or goes around a corner a little too fast every once in a while.

There are also some real racers, professional detailers, professional mechanics, super enthusiasts, wheel+tire afficianandoes, and down right mechanical geniuses here that really know their trade. What can I say, the370Z is probably the coolest forum I have even been on period-just a bunch of people that like one of the same things I do. Welcome!

Today it's raining and I have a feeling based off of what people say about VDC that if I turn the VDC off I will rip a hole in space time and the engine will start to produce dark matter /sarcasm

I personally have never had it kick in during driving in optimal conditions so I haven't really felt the need to turn it off, probably need to push the car more
