VDC has never and probably will never be off for me.

Lol!!! I knew it was sarcastic, that's why I gave a mildly prickish response :tiphat:

Just to pile on some more, I do like VDC off. It lets me take low-speed turns as I want and does give a bit more power to the fun meter when going straight. The Z is my first RWD car.

But ...

if it's wet at all, I leave VDC on.
if I'm driving over 50mph, I turn VDC back on.
if I'm driving at super slow speeds in heavy traffic, I'll just flip it on.
if I feel like I may need to speed up suddenly in traffic for whatever reason and not in a straight line, I'll leave VDC on.

Basically, I turn VDC off for times I want and am aware that I have more control, or I turn it back on when I'm just driving and not looking to be more spirited at the moment.

VDC OFF is for sissies. Real men pull the ABS fuse for complete removal of TCS nannies.

I drive with VDC on for the most part. Mainly because I truly dont remember to turn it off as I dont have much of a reason to when driving M-F. Now weekends I like to get a little risky :rofl2:. However I do wish our VDC button would disable both the VDC as well as the ABS instead of having to pull the fuse. (even though it only takes a minute to do so, the convenience would be nice lol) I mean my 04' 325ci was able to do so though but you did have to hold the TCS button for like 10 seconds, then it would light up on the dash that both were off. it would slide like no tomorrow and with ease. TBH the power on the Z scares me a bit, after a few spin outs and fish tailing playing on the back roads I realized the power difference. so i havent been as daring with it yet as i would like..Real men get scared still right??:bowrofl:

:ugh2:

yah, while throttle off the car does do things on its own to correct yaw.

your G probably does that more than your Z.

Brutal 370Z 06-07-2013 10:06 AM

The only time I turn it off is when I need to launch hard from a standstill. That's when it's the most restrictive I find.
