If you buy it from an exporter in the US then you would not need to pay the sales tax ex. it's 8%(please correct me if I'm wrong) in CA

If you buy it from an exporter in the US then you would not need to pay the sales tax ex. it's 8%(please correct me if I'm wrong) in CA so if you pay 6.1% import duty you're still ahead. The guys over at BRAMIC, LLC. - Home can help you out if you plan on importing a car from the US. They were great to work with. They helped me with my Z.
