Also I cannot read some comments....Burning out is fun, just do it where it is safe...Not at a stop light or where others are around...If you enjoy it, do it..If something breaks ? Well then we just have to fix it.... |
At the quarter mile track I would back up into the water then pull forward about 10-15 feet to do a burn out in 2nd gear to heat up the tires. In 2nd gear the tires are spinning faster and heat up a lot faster. The water makes the difference as it lets the rpms rise without traction. As far as the clutch goes I dumped it at 5500rpm and it hooked every time jerking the front left tire off the ground about 6 inches. However, I would never do it on the street.

I have been known to leave long burnouts through second gear.... It has a close ratio 4 speed.. But the car is made for it....I will not treat the 370 the same way.. |
