Forged Performance questions

I'm looking for people to advise their experiences at this facility, please. In particular, I'm looking for any kind of over-whelming positive or negative emotions you personally have had in dealing with the employees, and Sharif in particular, in the last few months.

In a nutshell, I'm looking to go here for a tune, nothing more and the word around here the last few times I was searching...admittedly a while back...was that they, and Sharif, were the people to see for work on the 370.

However, this crops up yesterday and it and loads of commentators seem to slam the royal heck out of them, and in particular Sharif, so much so that I'm very much second guessing an arrangement I have with them in the future. They are the closest major shop to me, but I'll go a bit further if I need to.

So...help me out here. Is this the kind of thing that's a fluke, or more common with them, and taking your car there for a tune and/or any work is "DANGER: Enter at your own risk" territory?

Thanks in advance

Read the entire thread. Quite a few people having bad experiences. Stay away if you value your money and your car

This is one. There was another GTR, G37, and Lotus that had many issues.

Yup; that's actually a link to the same post linked in my original comment

How can you even remotely consider this shop After that nightmare. If I were that guy I'd be in jail. I'd if burned down the shop if I went through that!

Holy...only bought brake pads from them and that went well but I guess I'm not buying from them again

Parts dept and labor are two different things.

It's easy to sell parts, working on cars are a different story.

Just read that whole thread over there. WOW! 13 pages, and almost 34,000 views in 24 hours. Think someone is in deep dodo!

I was debating Forged vs Z1. Guess its DEFINITELY gonna be Z1 now.

If you were smart z1...

Might as well remove them from the vendor list now..... $250,000 on a GTR hack job.... he couldn't have believed they were really gonna get away with that and that it wasn't gonna he massively publicized across every car forum.

raymondo510 05-10-2013 04:57 AM

Yea after that story I wouldn't even consider them. When it comes to shops and vendors you dont know, you can only go off of other people's experiences and just after that one story I would steer clear

seymore4 05-10-2013 10:06 AM

I've seen several threads like that on my350z over the last couple years... strangely enough they all disappear shortly after with no trace...

I would stay away
