06' BMW 330i.
Loved it at first, but after the warranty, everything starts to break down and cost a ton of dinero~ BMW after warranty stands for, "Bring My Wallet"

In order from oldest to most current:

- 2001 Honda Prelude 5mt
- 2003 Nissan Maxima 6mt loaded with every package and heavily heavily modded - Car ran low 13s. Then I decided I wasted too much money on the wrong platform.
- 2002 Maxima automatic - Needed something simple to get me through my Masters program
- 2007 350z 6mt - lightly modded but still very fun

Current rides:

- 2014 370z Nismo
- 2000 Altima SE automatic - my current ride for commuting. I picked this up last month. 109k miles, 2nd owner, black leather interior. Clean, simple and practical - just the kind of DD I wanted.
- 2013 Honda CBR 1000rr - I've been looking forward to this time of the year when I can start riding it again. Between April and October I really have no desire to be on 4 wheels

What car are you coming from?

What car did you own prior to the 370z? and do you regret your decision to switch vehicles? I had a 2011 Subaru STI, and before that I had a 2012 Hyundai Genesis 2.0T R-Spec,and I miss the Genesis so much. I traded it in on the STI because I was moving to Alaska and figured RWD wouldn't be good so i went for AWD... after my first winter here in Fairbanks and seeing all the challengers, mustangs and cameras do just fine I regretted the trade and wanted RWD again, so I got a 2014 base Z magma red and I like the car but MANNNNN do I miss the boost....

daveb91 08-15-2015 05:13 PM

2000 Acura Integra type R with K24a2 swap....nice and very fast for fwd just a little too raw....

PW370z 08-15-2015 05:29 PM

...2005 STi > 2010 370Z > 2010 EVO X SE > 2009 G37XS > 2011 EVO X MR > 2012 370Z

Memphis370Z 08-15-2015 05:40 PM

Modded 2002 Mustang GT. With the exception of the lack of torque, I don't regret buying my Z for one second.

imjello 08-15-2015 07:09 PM

1999 civic hatch, stripped and gutted, B18 swap ( high Compression NA build) ,type r tranny (with lsd). weight : 2240

1999 Mazda Miata, NA 12:1 compression build, hardtop. weight: 2220

I tend to like small, lightweight, NA vehicles so this car is a bit of a change. However still enjoying the bigger engine and power. Also I had to learn about tire sizes over 15" :)

94 Miata
fun track car but not nearly as fun as the Z

alyfal14 08-15-2015 09:13 PM

1991 Alfa Romeo Spider, only because it was totaled. However, the Z is a lot of fun to drive, and actually more practical for me....

JC-Nismo 08-15-2015 09:18 PM

Didn't trade, just added the Nismo as an garage mate for my Magnum SRT8.

87 Olds Cutlass> 95 Miata> 02WRX > 06GTi > 14 307z. Those are the dailys. I miss the size and feel of the miata, and I miss the boost of the WRX/GTi and the "solid" feel of my GTi, but the Z is pretty awesome. I don't regret it in the least. It's faster than the modded WRX and a better overall package than all of the other cars in my opinion.

Keep the Z in DD status and buy a S2k as a track car, that's what I'm gonna do

edk370 08-15-2015 11:10 PM

^JC, nice wheels on Nismo. what kind?

NecioVato 08-15-2015 11:37 PM

About to get a 2011 370z. I had the following cars:
1. too many mustangs to keep count
2. 2005 Infiniti G35 coupe 6MT
3. 2010 VW GTI
4. future car - 2011 370z

I should be getting the Z from the dealership on Wednesday but I already miss the GTI. The GTI was a stage 2, short shifter, RSB, FSB, Unibrace as well as a subframe kit - all in all I added about $4k into it over the course of ownership.

The reason for getting rid of it was bc it came up with major repairs - if I added the clutch I was 'going' to be needing - it would have been close to $6500 in all; figured it was time to trade it in and get something different. 370Z was at a good price and figured if I was ever going to get a true sports car that only had 2 seats - it was going to be now.

DeliriousClam 08-16-2015 12:53 AM

92 Subaru SVX - got at 15. transmission blew after 5 months
95 Volvo 850 T5 - had for 5 years. Got it to 350whp. God that was a fun car.

Now I have the predecessor of one of the cars that's been hanging on my wall since I was 9 years old.

LAVA 08-16-2015 05:38 PM

I had 3 Corrado's a '90 G60, a heavily modded '92 SLC and a 3.0 '93 SLC
This one was my favorite ('92), I really miss the seats

LAVA 08-16-2015 05:41 PM

I Owned Corrados for the last 15 years
'90 G60
'92 SLC, heavily modded
'93 3.0 SLC
I really miss the seats and the speed activated rear spoiler.
This one was my favorite

Venom13132 08-16-2015 06:28 PM

1995 RX-7 LS1 Swap. I miss the raw power and fun of the car. But I like all the new features the Z has.

cjwsrt6 08-16-2015 07:38 PM

2000 celica gts, 2005 Crossfire SRT-6, to my 370z, miss the crossfire all the time, the down low torque and the straight line speed was awesome, but it wont touch the Z in autocross which I do most

Akurei 08-16-2015 08:54 PM

Traded the 2008 Honda Civic LX for the Z, then later on sold my 1990 CRX Si with a JDM b16a swap. While I do miss my CRX sometimes as that was my high school girlfriend, now I can just concentrate on my Z (my new girlfriend)

Foxlogik 08-16-2015 09:20 PM

Traded up from a 2008 VW R32:.
I miss all the space, going from a hatchback to a fastback 2 seater is culture shock, especially when it came time to move my fish tank :shakes head:

jpkirk 08-16-2015 09:44 PM

2008 Hyundai Elantra (now my sons car) or 2002 Dodge Dakota 4x4 (Winter and rain driven)

Yea ... um ... There is no looking back. :driving:
