Wondering is there a vendor review section on this forum ?

There certainly should be, but there isn't. Sometimes I feel like the forum value the vendors more than the members but I won't go there.

I totally agree. This is the third car forum I've been on (mazda and gencoupe before this) and they all had a vendor review section.

To be honest, if there was a section like that here, I wouldn't have even had to post something in the General area to ask for feedback because it would be readily available.

Maybe the mods will add it for us instead of harassing me over nonsense.

Yeah I think it should be a vendor review section.

the mods are not really harassing you, they are just concern about us.

You did call us shady to begin with.

Well based on the information at that time it did seem shady. IF there was a vendor review section the mods (actually only 1 mod in this case) would still handle it the same way I'm sure.

What would happen if there was a vendor review section and someone wrote something negative? Dear God, action will be taken and bye bye account.

This entire forum is meant to be informational and allow people to offer opinions. There shouldn't be consequences for either.

To be perfectly honest, having the mod bring the vendor in to this discussion for no reason (when i was strictly looking for member feedback) would be the only reason for me to not buy from you guys at this point. All it did was cause friction and make it uncomfortable to go there so their thought of protecting their "paying" members only did the opposite.

You accuse us of being shady because of the different in pricing but you were looking at two totally different product (20" vs 19")

This was your exact quote

Quote:

I asked for a price on something they told me $4200 but they have it listed online for $3,800. Same exact wheel.
I also asked about a different wheel that they told me was new on clearance but their site says it's slightly used.

All I can say is SHADY
The mods brought us into this post to clear our name and I don't see anything wrong with that.

NickD try looking at it from the business's perspective. Would you want someone saying your business is shady? Whether true or not that is how rumors start and spread. Next thing you know someone somewhere is telling their buddy not to buy from said vendor because they read it on the forum somewhere where a member had a "shady" experience with them. Businesses....at least successful ones....strive for 100% customer satisfaction. I do not see that the vendor did any harm in this thread other than clearing up any misinformation that was being passed around. You had a misunderstanding and got confused on what product you were looking at it happens.

If in the end you can't do business with this vendor due to feeling uncomfortable, that will be sad. Man up you made a mistake. They are here to help you. If you have done your homework and the price is right then buy it.

From a business perspective, would you want someone saying good things about your company? It has to work both ways. It's called feedback.

From a buyer perspective, don't you want to feel safe about your purchases? It's not like we are talking about a $1.00 soda. We are talking a few grand for wheels. As a buyer, I want to make sure I make a well informed decision. Ironically ebay has this new thing that's been around for, oooh i don't know, 20 years or so where buyers and sellers can rate their experiences and provide feedback. Oh and that PayPal thing with buyer protection. That's all there for a reason. I guess I was looking for the same here,

Thanks Mark, And Speedfreek for clearing things and putting things into prospective.

Nick's the kind of guy who likes to run into a crowded (Forum) Theater, And yell FIRE!!!! (Shady) and see nothing wrong with it.

Once again Nick, NO hard feelings, And I just hope you get your wheels

Good Luck I'm Done!

I don't know why you went off on this tangent. But from what I got from your intial post and the clarification must differ from how you processed it. I am not saying you can't ask for feedback. You are getting feedback at this exact moment. Although it might not be the feedback you seek or in the format you are used to on the other sites you mention. I like to feel safe in my purchases as well and I have purchased from quite a few of the vendors here. In the future when I am in the market for wheels I will price the set I want from the various vendors here and pull the trigger. All I am saying is when you ask for feedback on such matters to go about it in a professional manner. Don't go calling them out and saying they are "shady" for instance. You wouldn't want a business calling you out to all other businesses that you are a "d!ck" and simply not a pleasure to work with and them suggesting all other vendors to steer clear. Unless you feel the shoe fits you may have something to say on the contrary.

All in all. I hope you are able to work past the issues that have come up with the misunderstanding you had and get the wheels you want for a good deal.

Way to stay neutral MOD. Very professional of you.

Oh and the Shady comment was based on other's comments and experience where they never got a response or had issues with pricing. Shady was also based on being told wheels were brand new when they were slightly used.

What would you brain surgeons call that??? Honest stand up salesman???

I think Triple's has something invested with RavSpec since you are so defensive of them and are ignoring the member's comments in this thread (both good and bad). There were a few people who complained and were ignored. DO YOUR JOB!

Oh yeah no hard feelings after you talk !@#$ about the "kind of person" I am. :tiphat:

It's OK not to admit you were wrong!

For the record this gig is voluntary!

GOODBYE!
