I like everything on your car except the scoop. The wheels are kinda cool & weird at the same time, maybe it will look more badass when it's actually moving?

Theres a picture of the Rear Body Scoop with the vent but no specifications i can't get a picture from underneath. I did more examination on it and its a small passageway that goes through a small area to the underneath of the car. I think it's the brakes, not sure. My body guy told me that it cools the breaks so i'm going to take his word for it. There's also the side shot of the rear and close up on the wheels.

I think so, and I am interested to see if there's a channel to direct the air to the brake  or just underneath the car :ugh2:

Unless there's ducting directing that air to the rotors, it's non-functional.
You really need cooling for the front brakes more than the rears, anyway. They're the ones that do the bulk of the work.

I remember back in the day when I put gutter guard mesh over the various holes on my 95 Eclipse. It was the shiznit!

Certainly not trying to me mean, but I think it's a bit over done for my taste. From are purely design perspective, I think adding the hood scoop and side scoop things, ruin the lines of the car. Whenever I think about adding something to my car, I always ask myself if I'd still like it 10 years from now. If the answer is "no" it's probably as cheezy as the time I put neon lights under my '92 Camry. I do like everything else though, even the unique take on the wheels.

If that's the look you're going for, don't let me or anyone else in here stop you from doing what you want to your car. I think many here consider the 370Z as a bit more "grown-up" from the previous generation. I certainly do. If the modifications look tacky, we're gonna call you out on it because frankly, we don't want people correlating this car with "ricer." Just my honest opinion. Don't take any of this stuff personally.

Even with nothing done, our cars get called that

Ok well i have one thing to say to that. Fk what you think. Okay? Flame me all you want. But my rear body scoops are actually vented and has air flow to the bottom of the car and brakes. You're gonna get at me about one lousy hood scoop? I got my car today and i love it but i wont be able to put pics up until tomorrow. Before you flame, atleast see it first..

Like I said is a PUBLIC FORUM, I'm entitled to my opinion, if you don't like it :gtfo2:

UH, those pics....My Eyes, My Eyes!!!!! You took a perfectly work of Art and Fvck it up.

Don't stop there, they have stick-on fender scoops and vents, side rear windows scoops, intercooler with fake blow-off valve & more.... :roflpuke2:

Ibtl

bluebird244 04-16-2013 11:16 PM

People ask why the scoop.. Well the scoop was mainly for the purpose of looks. I was alrady expecting flaming but I didnt know you guys took it so seriously. But I understand because you guys do take this stuff seriously and its okay since mechnical engineering is a part of some of your lives. I'm just an inexperienced young guy who wants to have a sexy looking car but i suppose the purpose was defeated after i put on a fake hood scoop. I pick things up fast and i've already learned that i need to get a functional hood in the future. I don't have grands to blow like some people on here so i'm currently going to save up for the Seibon Hood with vents so you guys can troll me about my stick on scoop all you want for the mean time. Most likely going to get it Hybrid FRP and paint it nissan factory metallic black. Im also going to get carbon fiber door handle covers to complete the black/red theme

Lols. OP got smacked around with productive, maybe a little harsh, criticism until he learned.

And best part is he's a good sport about it.

Sweet.

:iagree: (with myself) and I'm still wondering what took a friggin' month... Did they sculpt everything and paint everything by hand (with a brush)?

Mitco39 04-17-2013 09:03 AM

I like the rims. I like that they are different than everyone else's.

Thanks guys. And why it took so long, I don't know. Although i was distressed about the whole wait, after seeing the finished product, i couldn't be too angry. He said there was heavy customer traffic in the shop and I suppose he just wasn't putting the time into my car like he should have. :icon23:

I am still betting on him taking it out for JOYRIDES :driving:
