And people nowadays use "hater" whenever someone disagrees with their opinion of things. No one can handle simple criticism anymore. Mostly "Trophy for Participation" types.

And I have seen those "hood scoops" IRL and they look just as you would imagine. A solid piece of plastic with a taped on black hole. :icon23:

Honestly, i didnt take anyones opinion/trolling an insult except about 2 people that were just blatantly ignorant and disrespectful. I actually appreciate certain criticisms given to me in this topic. But then again in the end, the stick on scoop's purpose is 100% only for looks. And if you may think it's ugly then so be it. The main reason I got it is because it looks unique and it wasn't heavy on my wallet and it looks sexy IMO. Also I have the option to remove it if I ever feel that I don't want it anymore. I was only really calling "PapoZalsa" a hater because of his ignorant comment "+50 hp for a hood scoop" like he's funny and that hasn't been said a million times before. Lame typical troll. But regardless i'm sorry I took some posts offensive here. I realize you guys are very experienced and I come here to learn and take serious criticisms from pros since I am a noobie and just got my Z about 4 months ago. As far as exterior goes, there's really just no "serious critique" involved because it's all just the car owners taste really. Performance wise, i'm all open for criticism because i don't know much beyond an exhaust, cold air intake, and a sort of pipes/headers, and pulley, etc.

I think there was another member here that had the same hood scope, and side scopes put on his Z. I don't remember who it was...but it was a pearl white Z

On another note...OP it looks like you should check what going on with your body shop. ..Like previous post say it shouldn't take this long for the parts your having install. Make sure they're not taking your car on joy rides

In all seriousness, a non-functional hood scoop and window vents will add drag without having any benefit on performance, so you're already in the negative before you've done any power mods.

I'm definitely aware of that and willing to take the miniscule negative impact on my car for the sake of how i want it to look.

I think it's safe to say that all of us think the hood scoop is ugly, since you mentioned it is 100% only for looks. Sometimes it's very important to accept criticism from experienced modders even if it goes against your opinion.

Okay that's fine if you think its ugly. I don't care about what other people think of my exterior because I personally love it and that's all that really matters. Pics will be up later today i'll post them up here then people can stop imagining things and look at my master piece that i've saved up and worked so hard for.

I think the scoop looks good on some Z's just depends on the setup, but that doesn't call for someone to be a total Tool and try to make themselves sound cool by being a d-i-c-k! If you don't like it that much then keep it to urself he asked a question with this post about install time he didn't ask for people's douche bag comments.

Thank you i appreciate your kindness sir. And yes it falls well with the rest of my set up which is why I got it. Personally i think the Z hood looks awesome with or without it but the uniqueness of it led me to get it.

OP why not consider a vented hood instead. These look really good/aggressive too and serve a purpose.

You're gonna get at me about one lousy hood scoop? I got my car today and i love it but i wont be able to put pics up until tomorrow. Before you flame, atleast see it first..

Actually i was able to post pictures up that i took earlier today. Note that emblem was poorly plasti-dipped when I first tried without any knowledge, then this was right before I got my chrome Z emblems installed front/rear and replacing 370Z with Fairlady Z.
