what matters most is getting all of my marines and sailors home in one piece!!

Hoorah!
I'm a Major US Army Military Police with 14 yrs in.
Only 2 combat tours. Had to balance tactical and garrison ops.
Yeah uniforms and awards do get pricey.
Bringing them all home safely has always been my goal but sadly I lost two in a fierce firefight.

Was mere inches away from becoming a USAF Combat Rescue Officer... Unfortunately becoming one (or just being admitted into training) is harder than getting into Stanford. No I'm not being sarcastic!
But I digress, Thank you all for your service. One of the hardest jobs in the world, and for many many reasons. I hope you all come home safe and sound in all regards after each deployment. If I see any of you in uniform, you better believe I'm buying you a meal!

Bro, you are not kidding one bit about how hard it is to get into USAF Combat Control or Pararescue. Not to mention Airfield Controller or Forward Air Controllers.....

Yup, there is always fun to be had in Angeles City! Lol
We stayed at a hotel called the Oasis a lot.
Last time I did a mission there, was in 2003. Clark is nothing but bldgs over run with vegetation. There are a lot of people that live there, and still is a PI base with a airfield. There is also a Holiday Inn on Clark that is pretty cool.

I would love to see pics of that base...used to be so beautiful with so much green grass and flowers of all sort.. I cant imagine what it must be like..like someone in the year 800 living among the Roman ruins.

If you know of someone who can get me some pics I would be very grateful..
Meantime I will open a few San Miguels and have some lumpia

Maybe I am imagining things but I seem to remember that hotel ..not sure ..that is on base right? Name sounds familiar..

One thing I do remember is standing in the Philippine American WW2 cemetery in Manila and seeing row after row of white crosses neatly laid out over the green grass, shade trees and rolling hills. Each cross had a name and age. These were the combat deaths of WW2 and most that i recalled were in their twenties. It was a very moving scene that you absolutely cannot describe..Its something that I will never forget...

I will have to see if I can dig up some photos for ya. I don't think I have any from the base itself, but do have some from the AC parking ramp of Mt Pinatubo.
There were always little old ladies selling lumpia in the hangar.
Yes, the hotel is on Clark, just through the second checkpoint. It is all white with brown roof. All the windows are covered with the plantation style white shutters.
