I need s fundraiser! Car completely destroyed by keying
 

Came out work tonight to my entire car being brutally keyed, as bad as bad can get. Tire slashed, broken light, license plate ripped off, peeled painted everywhere. No I didn't break up w girl no I don't have a chic on the side. What's worse is I leave for vaca Monday knowing I have probably 8000 dollars in damage to my pearl white Z. Oh and my BC coils came in yesterday too... I'm tapped out and this **** happens. Looks like someone ran around car six or seven time with black marker, that's how fat the key marks are, no there not slashes, someone ran laps around the car!!

I manage a CK store of 200 employees, ppl don't like change, don't like working, don't like management who enforce the rules and run a business properly. Someone def getting revenge because they can't when in my building.

That's horrible. At least insurance should cover it. File a police report probably as well.

Repainting alone will probably be close to 8k. Maybe, don't really know, mine was pricey but I had parts replaced too.

Entire car looks like this, hit the headlight and tail light to. Shattered a side marker in the process. There's 6-8 marks per panel.

Dude that's crazy! I'm sorry to hear that, I've got a PW and I feel your pain. Who knows, sometimes someone just gets the idea in their head to do it simply because your car stands out from the rest and they're fuckin bored. Not fair at all.

It makes me think of vinny from pulp fiction when he said "it would have been worth the mothafucka keying my car just so I could CATCH him keying the car". Wish I could have been there to catch the asshat and take it to him proper like.

No cameras and it sucks because for years stores and police having been telling the mall to install

That sucks... but call your insurance company and get it taken care of.

A little repainting and some new parts. Other than lumping the deductible it should be good as new.

I'm just worried they drop me after because of expensive cost.

I'm w Progressive now but last time I filed a comprehensive claim with Gieco they uped my monthly amount 70 bucks!!!

Sorry to hear this. Really feel terrible that people still do this sh!t. You'll never figure out what drives people to do this. Must be some random act of jealousy.

A great and reputable body shop will get this good as new. It's body work and paint. Big time hassle but imagine the possibilities. If you want stick with pearl white get the White Diamond used on the Caddy's White Diamond code WA800J or the Starfire Pearl 077 used on the Lexus or the House of Kolor PBC44/PBC-44 Snow White Pearl. Good luck.

As my Z is the first new car I've bought I couldn't imagine what would go through my mind. That really sucks someone would do this to ya, good luck with whatever comes of it.

There should be a rule if a guy gets caught keying a car I can come beat the brakes off that POS. No repercussions. Honestly, if that was a guy (instead of an angry female) he should get his man card revoked because thats a bitch move. How do you go home after that and be like "Yeah, I showed that guy how much man I am!!"? Thats terrible.

This makes me sick to see. Some people are just unbelievable. Sorry to see this OP. This is the exact reason I don't drive my Z to work.

I work as a pharmacist and when I first got the car I drove it a couple of times. Patient's would come back to the pharmacy and be like hey man is that your Z out there in the parking lot?? I would say no that's not mine, but I wish it was! I was always afraid the whole time it sat in the parking lot.

OP it sucks to feel so violated. But its cosmetic. Progressive should not be as craptacular as Geico is: just get it fixed and move on in life. There are unfortunately sociopaths in our society: be glad they didn't take it out on you personally.

If I was you, I would buy a beater to commute in as well if there are no safe places to park. Beaters don't have to be POS either: just something that blends in.

No way. Have to disagree here. That would be like if someone stole your car you would never drive one again because you're afraid it will get stolen.

In other words, op dropping money on a beater means they win. Get it painted back real nice and drive it right back to work but this time somewhere you know there are video cameras. If they do it again, BOOM! Got em! Oh and you have paperwork stating you were already vandalized. They would get shut down on a first offense plea. Theyll get whats coming to them eventually :twocents:

I hate seeing that. I don't think progressive will be as bad as geico after the claim though. Geico has been notorious for that type of stuff for years

Who is this they you speak of? What is winning and losing? Any time you have to deal with this crap, you in effect are the loser. Rarely is justice served.. If video cameras are there, people likely will know they are there. Someone with a nice mask, glasses, hoodie and a key/knife/crowbar will *not* be caught. Lets be realistic here. Not everyone is as dumb as those on First 48 people :) You think any police department has a high rate of solving auto related crimes? You think they really care to solve them? :bowrofl:

I don't drive my nicer cars on a regular basis, into an area that is not nice. I am not going out on a limb to state this is a common behavior anywhere. OP stated no security and such, and job where punk arse beyatch behavior can happen. This isn't to imply that the OP should have seen this coming or anything like that: no one should f with a mans vehicle. But they do unfortunately.

I am not *afraid* to drive any car anywhere...but I understand what is more then acceptable risk in certain situations. When I go to Newark or out on Long Island for my job, the Subaru goes with me. Z and 981 stay at home.

Bvl, I understand what your saying. I think my comment is just the soldier in me. In my opinion, I wouldn't let anyone change the way I would do things. I'm not saying don't be smart about it, however.

To address my winners/ losers comment. In a small fashion, a car keying is like a terrorist act. They want to install heartache/fear/frustration. The more you react (I.e let them change your life) the more satisfaction they will get.

*Case in point: I drive my car as little as I can on post because people notoriously hit you/rub doors all the time. At the same time I would never not drive my car if I needed to/wanted to. Thats all im saying.

*On topic: I hope you dont have to drive another car to work. You work hard for that and its meant to be driven. If safe parking cannot be met for employees that should definitely be addressed by the employer/land owner.
