If you need an example as why to feel sorry for me I have lived with my ex girlfriend for the last 9 months. She is a crazy Latina that is impossible to reason with.

Sigh.

: )

More money for car parts. Don't expect your broke status to change after the car

im not mad at anyone on the forum, I was simply pointing out that you were concerned about paying to much for a z just a few months ago and now ur mind changed. people do change their minds all the time, nothing wrong with that. what I had a issue with was ur comment about being enthusiasts. I was just pointing out that you cant judge someones love for cars by getting mad at a manufacturer for killing the value of their car. no need to get butt hurt for me just giving my opinion about what u had said.. anything else you need to say?

Minsu 07-28-2013 07:39 AM

like i said ill retract my comment on the enthusiast part? You sir love confrontations.

 for retracting ur comment..

I don't love confrontations, I just voice my opinion. I don't take much seriously on the internet being that its hard to tell how a comment is meant being that it is being read instead of heard. so its easy to misunderstand the tone of the comment..

honestly i dont really care too much about resale value since i bought my Z because i liked the way the car looked and the fact that it looked rare but honestly, i dont want it to drop to compete with the BRZ/FRS folk because i dont want to see 370zs driving all over the place like i do with the FRS/BRZ and Mustangs...

You're not gonna see any price drop in the US. Its just not gonna happen any time soon. They price it for specific markets and there are a whole mess of factors that determine the final price. Nissan North America will only follow lead if they see a large increase in sales. It's still kind of anyone's guess, how exactly Nissan Europe manages to sell it for that low a price without selling each one at a lost. The prices usually already reflect the lowest price to be competitive. Think of it this way, they sell a whole lot less GTR's and the price of that car has jumped almost every year.

Lol 4 months after this the price crashes.

:iagree: Couldn't care less about the price change (though I wish they'd give me a rebate -.-) but for the fact that a bunch of kids will be driving the car now.

NOW LET ME CLARIFY - I don't have anything against 18 yr olds who can somehow afford the car on merit (saved up for down payment since they were 16 or what have you, lawn mowing money... etc.) What I DO have a problem with are the entitled little ***** where mommy and daddy bought them a fast car and now their dicks are all hardon to start racing everybody.

I doubt that you will, and I doubt that price difference was a huge detractor with used, low mileage models available

me neither. i bought the car for me to enjoy for a long time, not to sell.

if im thinking about $, normal folk cars like ours Z's are terrible investments anyway. i would just keep the money in the bank.

LMAO, i am the 18 year old(19 now and turning 20 soon) who saved up enough money to put it down on the car, but i know exactly what you mean

i know a 16 year old who has a 350z daddy bought him and he acts like his **** dont stink because he has the fastest car at school

maybe, i know a bunch of people who didnt even consider the 370z because of its new price(most of those people were surprised to hear that a used base 370z would go for 25k) so they might have considered it if it was in the same price bracket as the genesis coupe 2.0t, FRS/BRZ, v6 mustang, ect. brand new

90 ST 07-29-2013 02:48 PM

Not sure how it was in the U.S. but when the 370Z came out it was almost 10k cheaper then the out going 350Z here, so i waited...

Anyone buying a brand new car as a future investment may have a bad plan from the start. I have assumed that the high resale value of our cars is due to the low new sales and therefore low number of used, unwrecked, Z's available.

Buying the car was never about long term resale value. It was about a car for me.

I remember when the new Z's came with small oil coolers and the older owners suddenly wanted free upgrades as well.

Anyone who bought a 2013 Z after this article was published can not say they did their due diligence about pricing.

I love my Z and I hope everyone else who owns one, does too.
