Since we've now moved on to caliper color lols.

I wonder if orange would work with solid red and, later if I wrap, matte white.

Hmm... my thread is still alive and well :icon14:
well, as far as calipers go, I like red, and that burnt orange the older Zs had.

I think it's cool that people can date my car. Makes it that more special IMHO. But anyway, the only ones that can date it are people who really know the Z. Totally agree that it hides dirt well. I haven't washed it in 6 weeks and have driven it all winter long, not in the snow of course. Seems that when it rains, most of the dirt washes off. Looking forward to some warm weather though so I can really detail it. It is Spring isn't it??? 3 inches of snow on the ground in Northern CT! WTF!!!!!

Weird you mention that the dirt washes off in the rain. I find the opposite to be true with my Z. Rain makes it look filthy dirty, even if it was clean before the rain. Obviously after a fresh wax and polish the rain doesn't do much and just slides off, but when the wax is gone the rain makes some really bad water spots all over the car and any dirt that was on the surface congregates into dirt patches. It's so bad that I sometimes question driving my Z in the rain just because I know how much work it's going to be to clean later. Of course I still drive it anyway, but it's annoying.

It only rains dirt here in Phoenix. It washes nothing away and just leaves more dirt. :shakes head:

Jan 2012 was when I made my decision on a Z (thought about an older NSX, or S2000, or Quattro TT). My dealership had just opened and they had a Black Rose in stock. Last year, 2012 Coupes were hard to get in Ontario (alot of Roadsters). It took me all of March going into the dealership almost everyday and seeing the Black Rose in different lighting (showroom and outside, sunny and overcast, far away and close-up) I literally FELL IN LOVE with the Black Rose.

My 1st choice was Chicane Yellow, and now would be between Magma Red or Midnight Blue. But definitely no regrets with my 2012 Black Rose.

I'm still hoping for the T-top Z32 style to come back in 2015, re-vamped.

Try red. It gets dirty but its hard to tell and see the layer of dust they accumulate because of the dark color.
