CTSV are slow in turns anyways, esp 1st gen.

SV has caddi challange TT events and when they host at buttonwillow they host the track layout (ccw16) that has 3 HUGE straight aways compared to the normal track that has a bunch of turns.

I prefer my car too but that 1LE puts it down and it's like people keep talkin' shyt just cuz I mention it as an example of a car seriously putting it down on the track bone stock (View lemon-fresh)... So you caught the brunt of it dude. My bad.

Never said it wasn't great on a track, was just pointing out the main reason why most ppl still don't care. The same goes for mustang although i do find it slightly less offensive due to a better power vs displacement vs weight ratio. If they make these cars smaller and a little more pleasing to look at (less redneck pinstripes) I don't think there'd be nearly as much to discuss.

Please don't respond to this post with speculation article links about the future of these cars either.

my point is i feel he Z34 chassis gets over looked because "o it needs a oil cooler" when in fact is has incredible suspension geometry and houses wide rubber. It has a high level of potential with not alot put into it, similar to S2k( when it comes to road course pace)

This I can agree with. But there are cars you can track right out the box. Chevy and ford usually make them.

Don't have to respond with links. Your response is a weak over-opinionated response with nothing real behind it. I have nothing to say or link up cuz you have no facts behind it. No one cares yet camaros sell in 6 figures, we sell in four figures. I know what I've driven. I don't see why you think you're the surveyor of most people? But whatever. Some people just like to make forums a negative enviorment.

Then when you lay underneath your car and admire the bracing and stock design you will know. I still think bone stock I could take a z to the track and burn a few cars. Tracking is not so much about pushing the car to the limit as it is about smooth control through the entire movement of curves, straights. Accel and decel along with braking. It should be a ballet not a crump session. MHO drag racing is cool too but I don't think one setup will work for track and drag. My brother drags his 350 and its pretty much set up for drag. It's also two completely different driving styles and techniques.

And just for clarity we are talking right under 10lbs/HP... Every HP the engine has is only pushing 10lbs stock. :-P

I saw on some link when I did a 370Z 0-60 search that my 2011 7AT base model is the quickest. 4.5 seconds. I believe it too. The car launches quite well from a dead stop. The one thing that I do miss is the thrill of a supercharger releasing like a taut rubber band or the smooth, painless surge when turbos spool up.
