Which Z35 would you buy?

With the varied rumors running around about the Z. We know some facts but other things. We can't tell fact from fiction.

Fact: The Z will be leaner and meaner.
Fact: the Z will be a friendlier platform for the masses
Fact: The Z may have multiple models and engines.

Lets go with the multiple model and engine categories I would like to know which would you buy??? I'm going to make 4 Hypothetical models and I want to see which one you guys would choose???

Z35 choices
1. 2.4 ltre turbo 275hp/270lb tq engine 450 lb weight reduction $33,000

2. 3.0 T direct injection 370hp 320lbs tq And 300lb weight drop $40,000

3. 3.7 direct injection with 350hp/290lb tq and other fine tuned improvements. 100lb weight drop. $35,000

4. Limited production 3.8 Nismo TT 480hp/385lbs tq with all the nismo trickery and weighs as much as the current '13 touring auto. $55,000

street2soul 03-12-2013 09:26 AM

4!!!!!!!!

ZMan8 03-12-2013 09:31 AM

If money is not an issue I would pick 4 otherwise 2 :)

UNKNOWN_370 03-12-2013 09:34 AM

Pole set. This should be fun.

1st 03-12-2013 10:09 AM

I went with 3.7 the Z34 evolution is good enough for me. After this car all be sitting in another make and model.

forza370z 03-12-2013 10:20 AM

I am all for the power so I'd go with the Nismo TT. But 3.0 T direct injection seems to be a good choice too if I can't afford a Nismo.

I want lighter! I want better mpg! I want better exhaust note! I want better manual trans! I want better paint quality! I want non crappy speakers!

And most important of all keep the price near 30k! The z barely sells because its an overpriced value now

Kewl...:iagree: Vote in poll please. I personally don't have paint issues. but i think Gun metallic might be a reason for that?

b1adesofcha0s 03-12-2013 11:06 AM

I'd go with Nismo if they did it right, otherwise I probably wouldn't get another Z. Would have to be better than the C7 at that price point though.

In that case #1 all the way and the most realistic possibility . They are going lighter confirmed

X2 but I'm biased.
I love the Z but it needs to be able to make more power.

m4a1mustang 03-12-2013 12:34 PM

I chose 5 but meant to choose 4. God damnit.

based on your avatar and current vehicle, I will assume that you posted this yesterday and you meant to choose 6 :icon17:

USAF_troop 03-12-2013 12:48 PM

2- 3.0T b/c it wouldn't hurt to have more power and better MPG. Nismo would be legit but I'd like my own set of mods as opposed to the Nismo way of things. Can't go wrong either way though.

Tick64 03-12-2013 12:56 PM

Great poll. 3.8 Nismo for sure!

I chose 4 and then later saw 5 as an option. My mind somehow ignored it at first :bowrofl:

kuriz32 03-12-2013 01:05 PM

A smaller displacement turbo engine would be a smart decision for them. Better fuel economy + turbo power would make a lot of potential buyers happy.

Am i the only one who cares alot about looks? Even if the new z is a marvel engine I'm not gonna get it if its some futuristic looking Honda/Acura style

+1
I care about looks.
That's what attracted me to the Z to begin with .
That being said, if next gen Z is unique and keeps the same sexy look like the current one I would highly consider one .
As far as power goes , more would be better:p but Its looks first for me.

b1adesofcha0s 03-12-2013 02:13 PM

I think it needs to have both. If it has the power, but looks butt ugly then I won't get it. If it looks amazing, but is slow I still won't get it. For me it needs to have the performance along with at least decent looks.

Brutal 370Z 03-12-2013 02:47 PM

I like the idea of the Nismo option but I think the 3.0T has better value. Approaching that Nismo price range, I would be inclined to go with the C7.

NYBladeZ 03-12-2013 03:43 PM

A Nismo for $55,000! Save a little more for a used GTR.

SPOHN 03-12-2013 06:05 PM

A little more power with AWD. FTW

Sway 03-12-2013 06:17 PM

3.0T with DI... why can't it be TT? :crying:

It's still NOT a new car though. That matters to some and the Z would be 400 lbs lighter.
