Whatever they come out with I'm gonna wait as least a year from the start of it's production to see how reviews are and see if any kinks need to be worked out by nissan. I wanna put 100k on this car first anyways

By the time you get to $55K I think it is time for that C7 Corvette. More power and less weight.

The 3.0 T sounds realistic. And still that C7 Corvette sings it's sirens call.

No more need to speculate with the show a month away. :)

The Z will always be in a hard place to sell due to it's position ad a 2 seat v6 coupe. In the price range it sits... People upcompare or down-compare the Z all day long. Compare stock to modded and the all too common v6 is slower than v8 comparo. The best part is that many people expect a 332hp v6 with 270lbs tq to be equal or superior to 420hp with 400lbs tq.

I just hope what was speculated in the jay Leno documentary comes to existence. I don't need to be the fastest car on the block. I just want the most balanced pkg for the money....

I would go for the small turbo and here's why-

AMG, now owned by Mercedes has a beast of a 2.0 liter turbo that would take a lighter weight Z into new territory. Power to weight ratio will plummet along with lap times.

Nissan will be building Mercedes Engines in TN, USA by the time the Z goes into production.

You want to sell more cars to Americans then manage your supply chain costs based on proximity to your customers. I think Nissan will give a lighter weight, smaller, better looking, and much higher performance version of the Z this time around since it is expected to pay tribute to the 240Z which raised the bar significantly once it was released.

Rather get a sport model and install my own twins and if I'm spending $55,000 at a dealer there are other cars to consider...and oh...and the V8s would still kick your ***. ;)

I mean you can't even go public without 500hp...

voted 3.0T here.. Although I have no intentions of getting rid of my Z anytime soon as I am just finishing my build, and when I am ready to move on I doubt I would buy another Z unless its something really special.

not a fan of turbo engines....its costly and the makers try to save money which outcomes in more repairs

If they make different engine sizes they wont name the car nismo 380z trt300z turbo 240z turbo etc the would probably just call it a z or zsx or z35 or something like that
